My problem with them;
- Too easy to aim - Ridiculous radius and splash damage
The Breach, like every other Breach weapon in the game, should be the most accurate, but have less splash damage and radius than all other variants.
The Assault, rapid fire, but should be the least accurate of them all, trading RoF for accuracy. (There are currently no cons to using the Assault variant, not being able to hold the charge isn't a bad enough trade-off for its increased damage and RoF, despite what players say)
Get a Heavy up on a tower, and every dropship called out onto the map becomes useless, something that could be avoided with falloff or more innacurate forges.
Any Heavy that says "But Forge Gunz r hard to aim" is terrible at the game and should give up.

ROOFTOPS OP NERF NAO.
Seriously though, make all DS-accessible-only rooftops slippery. No equipment+limited ammo = bad sniping spot.
Also, removing the ability to hold a charge makes the AssForge less useful as a shotgun type weapon, but WAY more useful as an AV weapon. I typically hold the charge on my basic forge for a fraction longer than strictly necessary, for fear of losing the shot. |

Have you even used a forge gun? There's a giant blue glow at the end and no zoom. It took lots of practice to get good with a forge. The only really easy kills are when I'm above a player and they have no where to hide and didn't know that I was above them. |

All they have to do with the tops of the tower is make them pointy so nothing can actually stay up ther because you are sliding off and all equipment slides off
Too easy to aim you are looking at lolcrutch swarms at least it isnt like that and i have had a fair few FG miss me but i cant say the same for the crutches which never miss
My main problem is the damage which is better than a large vehicle mounted railgun |

OK, the only thing that I hate about FGs is when they get on a roof and you can't fly up there cause they keep shooting you down.
It sort of reminds me of dropships sitting up on buildings with missile turrets from along time ago. |

Maybe decrease the range of the assault forge gun and make it less accurate? Since it charges faster it might mean that it has to sacrifice the total amount of charge it holds, meaning that weapon has less energy to propel the projectile. |

When I was Heavy, I had no problem with killing people on close range with AFG(from rooftop), sometimes I had even round of killing 3 guys one by one with direct hits. Funny thing is that FG gets 150% for headshot .
Fixing draw distance will "fix" Heavy as well. |

The fact the FG doesn't have a Scope doesn't at all hinder its effectivness Vs Infantry.
When its got incredible accuracy, near instant projectile speed, and a 2.5m radius with more damage than a Proto Sniper, the last thing you need is a scope. |

Are you a troll? Or just dense?
Inside 300m, forge on rooftops beats EVERYTHING. Now, it makes sense if they smash you with direct damage. It is designed to beat on tanks, after all. But the splash is stupid effective. Because I'm a scrub, I don't bother going for direct damage with a forge (can't be bothered putting in the hours of practice). I just get my DAU-2A with one damage mod and troll everything. I can cover an objective more effectively than a sniper. I can smash up tanks as efficiently as a pair of swarms.
Now, when you're on the flats it's a different story; a forge gunner who tears it up on the flats is a terrifying beast, and truly deserves his kills. It's challenging to get direct damage kills.
As I've already said in the thread, I think Forge Gun is fine. It's rooftops what need nerfing. It'd get rid of those annoying snipers, too. |

not holding a charge actually is a boon to the FG. It translates into less charge time total, when you consider that the hold-charge variants must be SURE they are done before releasing, else cancel the shot. This means waiting an extra 0.1 seconds or so per shot. So the assault just shoots it off for you and all you need to do is track it
Which, here's a secret to why forges can hit you in the ass when spinning around at full speed, 300 meters away with an after burner.
its that ****ing KBM. makes aiming stupid easy and turns all dropships into more of a joke. CCP should consider this while doing their 1.5 balancing. ffs. |

No.
The accuracy on the Kalakiota/9K330 would stay the same.
Assault forges need a real con to trade off for their increased damage and RoF.
As for Forges where the charge can be held, they lose accuracy the longer the charge is held. |

Camper's with thale aRE the same, ehm no they get a scope.... They have to hit their target. Scoped in, they actually have a much bigger target to hit than the forge gun. At the distances you're talking about, a dropsuit's head while scoped in has a larger draw radius than the entire splash of a forge slug using hipfire. |
