I liked where tanks were in Chromosome. Probably could've even used resistance buffs. The problem is CCP. Not infantry. They ruined it. Not AV grenades (that everybody was fine with 4 months ago), not lolswarms (again, fine until Uprising), not even Forge Guns were a problem. You guys got ******. No doubt in that. But we get it already. I'm assuming that CCP has as well by now. My shotguns got ruined, too. Do I see 500 threads about it everyday? Or irrational spam threads about nerfing everything else? No. We specced into other **** weapons and moved on or quit the game.
You guys run to the redline because your frontline tactics suck. This mentality of thinking gunners are useless and LLAV running reps as an annoyance is just like going into a squad of reds running solo infantry, no matter your experience level - you have prepared for failure by not utilizing all of the tools available to you.

Frontline tactics, avoid getting blown up thats the only tactic
In a pub match it doesnt matter, most gunners are useless and try to use the gun to kill some when its easier to get out and kill him but they wont, or they fire at the MCC like idiots, how can i sneak up on a tank or the compound with some ****** in my turrets?
I run in a group, i run with other tankers and other players, proto swarms say hello but dont know where from because lolrendering
LLAV is kinda **** as a spider tank, i have several madrugar fits which surpass it but if the target hits me im less likely to blow up
This is all well and good in a pub match you try this **** in PC and you wil get ****** up anyways
In PC you dont have gunners but you face against proto AV all the time, FG on roofs are popular and even more popular are the assault tryhards with proto AV nades which can spam all 3 of them by the time they are killed doing over 6k damage to your tank
It rare you get a tank v tank without 1 side having AV hitting someone and it doesnt matter, you just bring out another tank and if you die he dies next due to you or AV
Give us proto in PC and it could become a diff story, you may need 2-3 guys with proto AV weapons and not lolnades and the best tank counter would be a tank |

most tankers go into the redline because its the safest place to be while also being able to be offensive being on the frontline you have to be aware of everyhing
infantry with AV nades Lavs driving around Swarms and forge guns Rail gun tanks
And any one or combination of these can appear at any one time

My repair tool, my passive/active resistance modules, and my knowledge of the maps makes me one elusive beasts.
You should also see how my tank hugs LLAVs. I am Snuggles the Bear and I am about to soften that FABRIC!!!
Enough though. LLAV's are easy to pop, just hard to solo, as a vehicle should be ESPECIALLY when its intended purpose is to stop and repair shields and armor. It is sad that people think that they should be easy to destroy especially when even the lower tier ones cost more than a single proto suit.
I CAN agree on scaling damage to suits based on speed, with the lowest speeds pushing people aside. I CAN agree on vehicles taking a percentage of damage based on the type of suit hit, to force thought to engage.
I DON'T agree with nerfing resistance or shields. I DON'T agree with nerfing speed/maneuverability.
Also, CCP should allow for more WPs for Logistic Vehicle roles, such as MCRU spawn ins, assists gained from scans, points for repairing armor and shields, and more!
Its severely lacking.
*note* Seeing as most people INSTANTLY assume that any form of reasonable discussion about LLAVs means you are a dirty murder taxi user, I can refer you to Espeon or LordChaos who can tell you I am a tank operator and a dropship users. Flying the ADS is like painting a masterpiece, and I am Michaelangelo, potential Aspbergers and everything.
In total agreement. To do the actual job role they are intended to do they need to keep their speed and resistance. I find the collision damage is the problem. If it wasn't so damn easy to hit people and insta-kill them even at low speeds there would not be such a problem. |

Horrible because the game should be build around standard gear, but 3 of my proto packed AV nades can barely take down the shields to 50% so it's not make much of a difference, by then I'm getting ran over, and my proto Proxy Mines are garbage so you can't even prep against them. |

Who suffers from all this? Dropships and to a lower degree low tier HAV's. Unfortunately for them, AV will remain balanced as long as LLAV's remain the death machines they are. Same here, I come to find out it was pointless though. You would not believe how much resistance LLAVs have..... The most effective way is to kill the driver, Blasters bypass the vehicles health and go straight for the Driver. |

Someone correct me, but haven't they been like this for 3 patch cycles now? Wasn't it in uprising 1.0 that they gave a blanket +70% hit point increased to LAV's (I still don't understand why this number was picked, but maybe they had access to metrics that we didn't).
The most frustrating thing for me is on the LLAV it is clearly poorly implemented, so much so that they are near indestructible for us (im)mortals that don't carry anything under proto AV equipment, and even then they are really difficult to destroy. The Tac AR's lasted I think 2 patch cycles before they were corrected, and the flaylocks about the same (again, please correct if I'm inaccurate).
I hope they aren't waiting until 1.5 to fix these anomalies... there are so many of them now and they are really a drag on some maps, nigh on indestructible and the drivers know it. They rack up some great kill scores too (I saw a 23/0 once).
I'll remain optimistic for the 1.4 patch notes to see if it changes something.

I think the best think is fix the text right now to properly show where there repairs are at now.
No need to bring the reps in line with the text.
The reps where they are now are what allows us to even be competitive.
I roll my eyes at the AV's who want to nerf the repairs. You guys are funny wanting to solo well built vehicles. |

AND OP is right. Before uprising i didnt have a single AV weapon.
Now i have Proto everything and play as Forge gunner or Commando with Swarms. Plus nades, plus scout with Pox Exp....EVERYTHING. If after my SP investment you deny me the ability to destroy a tank solo that a is WAY TOO close to enemy infantry, then the game would be broken. |

As for the person who said a tank hid through the barrage of three proto AV, he is one lucky SOB. Not saying it is impossible, but you guys messed up on your coordination. 3 proto AVs, properly coordinated, can take out most tanks. Just saying. Also, pics or it didn't happen.

2 Proto Forge guns and 1 Proto swarms CAN be taken, if you are in an ARMOR tank. Yeah he barely survived but he did activate his regen stuff enough to barely survive, plus he only had like 5000+ ish armor,ive seen tanks with 8k....
I dont know whats the big surprise.....If you really dont believe a tank can survive 3 proto av simultaneously then you are delusional and need to play as infantry a little more. See how good you can do vs tanks while you ALSO have infantry shooting at you. (im talking about GOOD tanks not militia crap ok?)
I DO AGREE TANKS NEED A BUFF, this buff being a price reduction of (approximately) 1/3 . Tanks cant be buffed MORE. They already take a lot of specialization and organization to take down,and only 1 Tanker to wreak havok. If you Buff them more in any way we will end up with ALL infantry going AV or vehicles.
But a price reduction is fair since the cost of getting a good tank is a little HIGH for their actual performance.
