Whats going on? whose involved? and will the challengers of Eon be forming an alliance to match Eon's? Because honestly would be interesting to see Molden Heath turn into a war between two or three huge alliances only rather than lots of stand alone corps with one or two major alliances taking up whole corners.
Think about it? if the entire of Molden Heath was a war zone between just two or three alliances to the point every district was under attack at all times it would mean alot less Proto stomps in public matches since theres always a fight going on SOMEWHERE.
Also on the note of PC, How would people feel towards rather than how it is, one battle per district every 24 hours, why not have the battle open for the full 23 hours with an hour for reinforcment timer where corps could decide then to either call an attack off or to carry it on.
During the 23 hours mercs can join and go as they please, taking the rewards they accumulated during the time they spent playing. This would force more tactical play since corps will have to keep on Eye on their available clones. Also means it won't be the same people fighting everytime since people do have lives outside of dust it means Corps and alliances can move squads about to battles where they'd be more useful ect. For example if one district is being attacked by heavy amounts of Vehicles then Corps would need to move AV squads from one battle to another to help counter them. Also Scouts would have an actual role as scouts, being able to get intel such as where the enemiesl ines are weakest ect.
Any opinions or ideas to add to this? |

Judging by the star map Eon is the alliance thats gonna be around to stay, tho empires have fallen before now. However remember, Empires must first rise before they can fall... |

Just seems sensible since in EvE when the corps ect want their huge battles they don't wait for a small window of time, they get their **** together and make a fight happen and they take territory |

As I said, if EoN continues to rise in power and absorb districts in MH, I can see CCP stepping in and imposing sanctions on corporations that are members of the EoN Alliance.
CCP stepping in probably won't occur until EoN controls I'd say about 80% of MH. |

Why?
Its not EONs fault if everyone has packed up and doesnt want to fight
Likewise its not CCPs fault either, they just make the game and give us the tools |

This is more like the basics of a coalition, really. This is a lot more loosely formed than a typical coalition, but there's no way we're going to coagulate everyone into a couple of alliances. Too many Dust corps are simply fronts for Eve alliances, who have to stay a part of those Eve alliances in order to receive orbital and recruitment support.
Now if CCP would give us our damn API keys, we could actually form a proper coalition with proper organization and shared resources with auth tools to help manage everything. |

I'm in the 5% :smug:
In eve terms you'd call the group fighting EON a coalition, since it includes alliances. It isn't an association formally enabled by in-game mechanics, in the way that corporations will join an alliance. Coalitions are created and maintained by different groups setting each other to a friendly standing so that they don't accidentally shoot at each other.
If you've added someone to your contact list and you look at one of their posts on this board, they'll have a grey box on their picture. Grey means neutral / no standing. A blue box with a star means a member of your alliance, and a blue box with a + in it is someone who isn't in your alliance but has friendly standings (typically, a coalition member). None of this is actually implemented in Dust yet since there isn't a real need for it so far. I don't believe groups in the anti-EON coalition have actually set standings either, since that carries through on the eve side and the group is so large that not everyone is friendly on the space side of things. |

It's EONs fault for taking the majority of good players into one alliance of blues.

I'll tell you what, when CCP makes PC a non-grind game, with minimal lag, lack of memory leaks, and the rarity of FPS drops, aspect of the game. Then me and 90% of the dust community might take a shot at it. As it stands, I've never hopped into a PC battle without any of those issues and it makes the entire concept a complete waste of time. (Unless you're one who enjoys playing slide show shooters.) The fact no one else is not putting the effort into doing it despite maybe going against bad odds is proof it's not fun to do, and that sir is CCP's fault. PC is Dust's 'POS grinding' from Eve Online. No one becomes winners from POS grinding. |

If no one else wants it, why the sudden "rebellion" of corps in PC?
I said it when EoN "won" PC, and I'll say it again. If LOI had "won" you would all be bitching the same statements as you are now. Only the alliance name would have changed. We wanted lots of fights, PC was boring, now we have fights. I'm looking forward to it as it actually gives me a reason to log in and play a character I've invested months into, instead of sitting there bored and then going to play another game.
