On my forge fit, I wish I had more room for a better smg, but I'm too lazy to skill into the thing, or even care. Even so, I win most 1 on 1 battles with just the syndicate/toxin |

I really like the SMG, however I don't use it as a main weapon. I typically go with an AR or Shotty as my main, however ALL of my fits (20+ scout fits) have the SMG as a sidearm. This is mostly because I want to get the maximum use out of the toxin BPO though.... in Chrome I was scramber pistol sidearm scout all the way.
The knives and flaylock just don't do it for me....
I don't think the SMG is OP - it's too situational in terms of requiring it's user to be at close to close/medium range. Additionally, with most players shield tanking and the SMG taking a damage penalty to shields it does take noticeably longer to wear down a user's shields.
I've only got L2 operation so I'm sure there is a lot of SMG fun in store for me.... 
I do like the breach, that mofo hits hard and hip fire is way more accurate.... It is a great finishing weapon....
Nothing says "Back the **** off" like an SMG spitting out red-hot rounds of minmatar ass kicking. |

Most heavies like myself that I know Run the SMG as a side arm and those that don't well usually get eaten up....I like it because of the ease of weapon transition from the HMG to the SMG ADS, I love the sheer mail I get from killing with the SMG once they think they out range me heh. |

great weapon for logi, dual on scout and minmatrar assault is fun
need it when your running swarms and tho I dont sniping
I ran dual smg's on a heavy frame and did very well in cqc

A fun mind game you can play is dual wield an assault and breach SMG, ans strafe quickly with the assault and slowly with the breach in one on one fights. |

The best explanation I've heard is that the breach is the best SMG to use strictly as a sidearm compared to the other variants that can make better primaries. |

they're good but highprof light weapons still outclass them on the same lvl(and weapon tier) if you were to use them as a primary from my experience(smg prof 4) |

Just got my prof to lvl 4 at the weekend and it's awesome. I love my pistol/SMG combo - take down the shields with a single pistol shot and if they start jumping around madly, take out the m209 to finish them off. |

They are a perfect. Especially in a game with lousy hit detection, you can finish off your enemy with them easily. SMGs win gun fights, especially gunfights that were unfair because of shady hitboxes.
Some say they are OP, but its mostly because they got out played, period. It has no effectiveness beyond 15 meters.
One of my favorite things to do is run it on my HMG and shoot enemies at a distance, that my HMG can't reach. The enemy will think "He's barely doing any damage, so I should be able to mop the floor with this scrub"
They come rushing around the corner, right into my HMG going full blast. Tears them to shreds. You'd be surprised how many people fall for it, including well known players, lol... |

Shush, if you speak of the SMG 2 things will happen. 1. more people will use them 2. the nerf herd (see what I did there  ) will start screaming for SMG nerfs and generally cry about how sidearms shouldn't be able to kill anything. |

I seriously consider this weapon to be overpowered but I know that the community does not and I will not suggest nerfing this weapon.
However I slapped 2 MLT SMGs on a Militia Minnie Light and good god it's like flying buzz saw blades. I run up, point in the general area and shoot. The thing has spray like popped zit yet when ADS it's like perfect accuracy.
I've been getting very good scores with 2 mlt smgs lately, on a mlt suit, with mostly mlt gear (everything but the REs). I think that in all honesty that because they require less skill than scrambler pistols, the weapon I naturally use, that by comparison these weapons have an effectiveness that makes them, in my mind alone, OP.
But I aint suggesting no nerf ya hear! |

When I ADS I can't keep up with them strafing, then I look like a fool spraying and praying. I've become good at this although I'm not proud of it. I'm proud of ADS and killing fools in front of me. |
