I haven't seen enough threads on the smgs, nobody has a problem with them right?
Through my experience I find the gun very reliable. What do you guys think about this weapon. I think it's doing its job fine. Hipfiring can get silly at times, but that's because I can't track enemy movements when they are 5m in front of me if I use the sights.
The RoF is amazing, it sounds sweet too. The assault variant is where is at, the breach is not that great, or maybe I haven't played with it enough. I think it's too slow. Here's an idea, maybe on proto the assault can have 1100 RoF, would it be fair or not?
The rare times I would switch to the AR, I find the RoF slow! I can outgun an AR sometimes, which makes me feel good. Does anyone else use the SMG solely to dispatch foes? It makes for a great sidearm but I think it can hold it's own as a "light" weapon. Speaking of which, A light machine gun anyone? In between the AR and HMG .

I'm almost surprised the SMG has not become FoTM...
That thing is an absolute beast when you get Proficiency up. There are times when I feel that it outclasses even the AR at range, due to the sheer volume of bullets it puts out.
It is definitely a capable weapon that many seem to disregard as a potential main weapon because of its sidearm status. |

I love SMGs, and I think they're pretty safe from the nerf bat because they're just compact ARs. |

Assault SMGs are functionally the same as some AR rifles.
The M209 I run can drop some people as fast as my Duvolle can. Hell, I just pull the thing out after my AR takes their shield down if they're even at a medium range. Thing melts armor.
I'm surprised people don't come crying to the forums about them more often. |

I'm surprised that more Minmatar assault players aren't dual stacking assault smgs on their suits. That magazine size bonus makes them beastly if you love the spray and prey. |

Love my SMG on my sniper fit. I love to turn around and surprise ppl with it as I spot them coming up to get me.
The Minmatar equivalent of the AR is on it's way. The SMG is just a close range version of it.
The Min combat MG will be like the AK47 I'd assume.

I protoed the thing out, and I have this to say: Crouch, then fire while crouched. Then cry.
Otherwise, I play Logi so it's all I can fit on my suit, works pretty well in close-closemedium. |

I use the breach but only because I like the way it sounds.

Lining a headshot up while aiming down sights is crazy effective when sneaking someone trying to hack. I took down two guys that were hacking together in about a second and a half earlier that way.
Actually, ADS with the SMG is pretty wildly effective. I know it goes against the whole "spray!!!!" thing, but if you're fighting anyone who isn't smart enough to strafe, you can land a crazy number of rounds by getting that sight up. |

The SMG is Beast yes.
Its very good , not OP.
FOTM : OP.
Its just good at what it does.
I can run around with My Ishikune SMG and get beat by a Militia AR if the distance is not right.
Because of this,it will not become FOTM. People will always look for something that has a good response for a variety of situations.The SMG is only CQ. |

I use my SMG before my AR most of the time. Being a Minmatar Assault has it's benefits, especially with sidearm bonus. |

akimbo will be just nuts. Any success while wielding two on the same fit? I figure I would have an assault and then a regular to finish. It's insane how quick some drop, Pro cal? after those shields they are practically dead. Smgs are cool though. so the combat rifle will be like this one? |

I tried it at first with the Dual SMG combo. Not really my style. SMG and AR combo is more my thing. SMG aimed to the head/upper torso region and if the person isn't dead yet then I can just bring out my AR to finish them or pop a grenade in dat ass. |

I have not seen any threads on the smgs being unfair. I mean it's a sidearm with light weapon capabilities. They shouldn't cry. And if they do, my smg will kill them. |
