The battlefield is too silent. There should be some voices saying stuff. I noticed in Battlefield this helps a LOT for situational awareness, as your team mates call out stuff for you without having to actually use a mic. Examples: 1."You have recieved a squad invite" 2."Someone left your squad" 3."Someone joined your squad" 4."Throwing grenade!" 5."GRENADE! GET OUT OF THERE!" 6."Hostiles" (When you get hit or you hit an enemy at long range) 7.General pain noises (Getting hit, falling from a great height, etc') 8."Tac Reload" (When you still have bullets in your clip) 9."Reloading" (When you don't have bullets in your clip) 10."Cover the cat! He's more important than any of us!" 11."Need ammo!" (When your ammo reserves are below 30%) 12."Need reps!" (When your armor HP is below 30%) 13."You have recieved a message" 14."MEDIC!" (When need a revive) 15."MEOW!" 16."DOOM TAXI!" (When you see a LAV) 17."TANK SPOTTED!" (When you see a HAV) 18."FLYING COFFIN!" (When you see a derpship) 19."Tank destroyed" 20."LAV destroyed" 21."Derpship destroyed" 22."Heavy!" (When you get shot/shoot a heavy at close range) 23."Assault!" (When you get shot/shoot an assault at close range) 24."Logi!" (When you get shot/shoot a Logi at close range) 25."Scout!" (When you get shot/shoot a scout at cloes range) 26."SNIPER!" (When you get hit by a sniper) |

My guy would just shout "POOP!" all the time. That's because the cloning process wreaked havoc on the Broca's area of his brain. So anything he shouts just comes out as poop. Everything else is fine, he just can't translate his thought into the correct speech patterns. |

Not a bad idea at all, you're still able to communicate with friendlies just fine in BF3 despite the added commentary and it even adds to the immersion if you ask me. I think it would be cool to have something similar in DUST |

I disagree with this, Eve online doesn't have voice actors for pilots neither does Dust as you are supposed to be that voice. Also that would mean about not only 24 voice actors but a myriad of others since each bloodline has a subset of people as well. I mean do any of you know what amarian accent sounds like? what about caldari? what about achuran?
Voice Fronts on the other hand to help change your voice to help match your character I wouldn't mind. |

Personally I don't want voice acting in Dust because I am my own voice actor. It's fine in Battlefield because I am playing as some random pawn who will soon die never to return again, but in Dust 514 I am my own immortal merc who never dies, I am more invested in him, and I'd rather do all the shouting myself. Just my opinion.
I do think having commands to request for ammo or something would be nice, if done strictly visually. |

I wonder if there is some videos or sound clips out there I could listen to with True Amarrians speaking so I could try and replicate their accents, since I am the type of nerd who would probably do that for fun |

As someone without a mic, I'm in favour of voice acting. It doesn't even have to be good, just shout-outs like the OP listed. And have the whole 'push to talk' function essentially override voice acting, so if you do have a mic, you don't have to compete with your clone's voice acting. |

Voice Fronts on the other hand to help change your voice to help match your character I wouldn't mind. While I agree that many of these would be unnecessary and even interruptive I do agree with some of them, specifically: 1,2,3,7 & 13. For example, when I am waiting for a squad to get out of battle to invite me I dont want to stare at my merc quarters for ten minutes. It would be nice to have notifications like the the ones noted on 1 and 13 to tell you when you have received an invite or a message, this is actually something I have already thought was blatantly missing. As for 2&3 it really would help us out to know when people jump in and out if squads or get dcd, it sucks to get 2min into an intense battle and realize one of your guys got left behind. I also think that your merc being absolutely silent when he/she obviously just shattered his/her femur from jumping off a building is disturbingly unrealistic and if anything actually removes you from your merc a little bit. |

It works well in BF3, and this game is probably the closest game to Dust. |

Yes that would definitely be neat.
No voice actors though. It would just get annoying and repetetive. Get a mic, or at least turn you on voice chat so you can hear others. You will get more info than built in voice actors could ever give. |

I think just a general sense of radio chatter would be a nice audio addition to this game though. |
