I'm not a tanker and I'm a armour user so bare with me shield HAV users.
Boost the base shield recharge rate somewhere between 30-50 per second.
Make it so shield boosters increase your natural shield rate for 15 solid secs. Say by like 500-800 percent.
OK...that's all I got...
BTW again, not a tanker...just a AV ground dude that also fly's Gallente ships. |

I don't have a clue about how to fix armour tanks. I feel bad for them(and to a lkesser extent, myself) once they "fix" reps. |

Yeah the shield recharge rate on HAVs is a little silly... dropsuits should not be out recharging vehicles.
This would help armor tanks a fair bit as well I think if you gave them a little boost as well as that shield buffer can really help with the alpha on that first swarm hit.

Yeah, I was looking at it today and was a bit shocked. I kind of figured it would be at least 30 or 40...but 22...that's just crazy. So even with max skills, you'd only getting another 4 or 5 shield points per sec. |

Yeah I would have thought somewhere around 60-80 for cal HAVs and 30-40 for gallente HAVs would be much more appropriate. |

I got both passive recharge skills max and it brings it up to 26.5. while armor tanks get reps that work 15% better, on top of the 3x more they are already doing. Cant wait for 1.5 |

Cant wait for 1.5 OK, but to be fair that is a bug. Also, they don't recover armour...at all unless aided by a rep tool or mod.
Not trying to start a argument here, just saying that Gallente should be able to rep a good amount of their armour back. |

I don't know if the Gallente HAV should be able to recover so much shield a sec, maybe 20 a sec but I believe the shields on a Gallente HAV(or dropship or LAV) are meant to be a small buffer before you kick your hardeners on.
Also kind of sucks that shield hardeners are so short since they you never know when to pop'em. |

"fixing" the reppers and buffing the boosters would make what we have now the exact opposite, but only worse (AV weapons do more damage to armor, except the PC, and that's not really even a AV weapon). So yea, no. |

I think if ccp simoly raised the passive regen on a gunlogi to say 70 with max skills in place. That and increas the ammount of hp gaind by heavy shield boosters to say aprox 3500 to 4000 hp over the acctivity of the module. A slight buff to the hardners acctive time would also help tge balance say from 10 seconds to 20 seconds keeping the 30 second cooldown. All these would balance shield havs against armour only if armour tanks remain as they are now with slightly higher resistance to explosive dammage say 9% brining explosive dammage down to 120% against armour. |

I've brought it up many times.
Why do core shield skills do NOTHING but unlock modules? No one gives a crap about a 1% increase to your 24 regenerate rate. |

Well, there is another skill that brings it up by 3 percent per level. |
