I run logi and am about to make a costly SP purchase. Been weighing the pros and cons. Seems like nanohives are a bit better step up from level 4 to 5 than uplinks. But I also know uplinks are a little more useful to the team. What ya'll think? |

Uplinks. Definitely the uplinks if you plan to utilize for PC... if not, does it even matter? Figure out which you want to run on your suit more. /shrug
Given current meta, uplinks are also valued much more than hives, though the hives are awesome for setting up camps. If you have nanocircuitry to IV though, you have access to X-3 and the advanced (R) hive which are actually quite decent. IIRC the "imperial" line of uplinks lets your entire team spawn on them whereas any other uplink is squad only ("No Squad" is your squad if you are solo in pubs so lower tier uplinks get the job done just fine if it's just a bunch of randoms).
Can someone else confirm that though? I'm hopefully not full of **** here... Kind of hazy on that one though since it's been a while since I needed them. |

Bear in mind proto nano hives also means access to proto nanite injectors. |

Do you do PC?
If no go for nanohives. being able to resupply in 5 seconds is extremely useful for your self and the team. |

I am getting my character PC ready so I went with the drop uplinks. The nano hives will be next. @ richiesutie2 - I have 8 million SP and ADV caldari assault and logi (which I use aurum proto versions of from time to time). Right now I am trying to invest in the core skills that will get me the most SP to get other core skills I need before I move on to my suit. I haven't decided really if I like assault or logi yet. |

Uplinks all the way for PC, injectors, hives and repair tools are generally useless in PC(I don't carry injectors or repair tools in PC - I carry 1 hive for personal use as I use the mass driver).
Advanced hives are fine for any occasion(tier 4 gives access to healing hives though which can be useful occasionally). Every tool is useful for pub games.
My choice would be uplinks for PC, nanocircuitry for pubs. |

I have Proto Uplinks but I've seen my team spawn on lower level ones, even when I was in a squad.
I do know they were talking about "team" and "squad" uplinks but right now, I don't believe that's in effect. I will note that higher meta Uplinks seem to be harder to detect however. |

Spamming uplinks can earn you lots of warpoints in 90% of games (assuming your teammates are dying and it's not a one-sided protostomp where barely anyone dies). I can lay out up to 17 decent (ADV or better) uplinks at a time across three logi suits.
Spamming nanohives is more situational and while they can and do net huge warpoint gains (esp. triage hives), they only do so in certain circumstances - usually dominations where you can fortify the point with hives, or around supply depots when your team is fighting in the vicinity. |

... and triage WP gain from triage nanohive is curtailed if you are actively using an armor repper... something to keep in mind. I therefore usually use triage hives if I am rolling more of a combat role.
thanks to above folks for info on uplinks. interesting that higher meta may be harder to see. had not heard that. |
