Regards! Xi Vi Read Plasma Cannon description.It's not an AV weapon. It just CAN kill vehicles in certain conditions. Sort of like the mass driver.
Regardless, there defintely needs to be "assault" (big splash, less damage, maybe 2 in a clip) and "breach" (High damage, low splash, fast projectile) variants of the PLC... one more effective for Inf. and the other more effective for AV. |

TBH mines should do more damage than AV nades, AV nades at best should be a support to primary AV weapons to help add a bit of DPS, not be a primary weapon on its own
I would straight cut the damage by 50% and give it to vehicle mines, also remove the homing crutch so they have to explode when they hit the vehicle so that requires at least aiming in the general direction of the vehicle and not spamming it everywhere and having the homing crutch make up for it and if they miss then the nade just dissappers after 3sec |

Stock LLAV is harder to kill than a well fit tank, trust me, I know this, that's why I use LLAVs so often instead of tanks. And even if I am deep behind my redline some of them just troll and drive their LLAV behind the redline and nade me to death before I even get to drive my tank one feet. |

As far as AV grenades go I think having 3 be able to take out a fully tanked LLAV should be the standard. Not going to lie, swarms are very powerful and they absolutely **** EHP tanks that are to slow to get to cover. Dropships and LAV's can outrun them and fast tanks can survive hits and prevent lock ons by going along the perimeter of the map or through buildings/complexes.
My biggest issue is getting my dropships destroyed in 2 hits from both redlined tanks and forge gunners. I realize that it makes you tankers and forge gunners feel all special but If there was damage fall off to prevent 1 unit owning the entire map or a buff so dropships don't get raped by forge guns, rail guns, RDV's, AV grenades, terrain, explosion knockback or bad drop offs, then I wouldn't be speced into swarms and sniper rifles to get revenge on what I can.
In my point of view, I think Scout LAV's, all Dropships, and tier 2 tanks need worked on the most with how things are now. Vehicles shouldn't be an I win button but the same thing goes for AV. |

Wrong, they do significant damage to Shield Tanks, it's still ridiculous as it does more damage than any AV Weapon (Other than the Breach Forge Gun), it has higher DPS and people say it's got **** range? No, for example, you can chuck AV Grenades higher than the pipes on Ashland.

Idiot, I said props for a reason, it was an interesting tactic to get to me in my red line, it's ridiculous that they carried ARs and AV Grenades, it's too effective.
There should always be this kind of setup, Anti Infantry > Anti Vehicle > Vehicle > Anti Infantry, AV Grenades destroy that and make it Anti Infantry > All.

I got 10 mill sp dumped into shield and armor tanks, 3.5 in armor and 6.5 in Shield because it takes more sp to run shields, And from my experience, it takes 1 militia swarm with 4 packed AV nades to bring down my brilliantly fit madrugar, The miltia swarm takes down my shield, no worries, but the Packed AV nades take down everything, its just terrible to see a 800k madrugar go down because of one dude who spen 130ksp into AV nades and maybe into nano hives. BTW, their is no such thing as proto tankers. AV nades need a nerf so they cannot be replenished by nano hives and they home in also max carried should be 2. To all those that disagree, you are obviously not tankers. |

With that said, if three guys bring AV nades into the redline to pop you, that is fair game, and should be allowed. 3 v 1 should function in their favour, especially on a suicide run. Infantry actually NEED an option like this as long as the redline works where and how it is right now. I can reliably do it with EX-11 packed and an Ishukone Forge, but there needs to be a lower SP threshold for a car full of scrubs to pop a tank.
Where this falls apart is in the fact that bailing out of a speeding LAV as it blows up against the side of the tank, and hopping around while hurling death rocks at the tank is only fun for the infantry, and is a horrible experience for the tanker, because against proto grenades, there is no suriviving all three of them. 9 Lai Dai grenades don't take long for three guys to throw and will ultrakill every vehicle in the game. That they open up their attack with a Limbus for 3000 damage is just the icing on the cake.
Don't forget, their chariot has 50% resists, with enough eHP to survive a couple of rail shots or a whole slew of blaster, and normally a couple of salvos of missiles.
I'm starting to agree with what I have heard voiced about limiting the number of AV nades to 2, and upping the refresh time from hives. Leave the damage, maybe buff it by 5% to compensate. Slow down LAV's, make all the passengers likely to get shot out by a blaster, and maybe we could get some more fun in those fights. |

Av users dont hawe to invest as much SP as tanker pilots need to get in the tank. Good tanker will hawe at least 7 mill SP in to tanks,so we can compete with other tanks.
Im not sure how much SP do you need in to those focking AV nades,around 1 mill I think,corect me if Im wrong. That is bullshit.
And thats why you can see me redline sniping,most of time, and I understand all tank pilots doing this. Bechause im not gonna waste my maddy or gunlogy, 700k-1mil per run, or enforcers 1,5mil-2,2 mil per run.
Even with infantry supporting me,repping me, I cannot survive PROTO AV ,advanced av is fine,but proto swarms,nades,forge are devastating,.. 3 proto swarms kill my mady with over 10k hp with 35% resistance on armor ( 10% with skill,25% carpace hardener).
If that fair,ok by ccp im not gonna bring my tanks on the field anymore. I didnt use tanks for almost a 2 weeks and I saved 15 mil ISK
Now I hawe proto mass driver and a caldary proto suit and almost 5 lv damage skill on MD and im gonna kill all you AV punks, |

Is that a militia tank? Because I can chuck 4 or 5 Lai Dai's at real tanks and they have a more than decent chance to get away. And even then that's only if I 1) have cover where I can attack (not always an easy case) 2) I drop a nanohive (I have proto hives so that's no biggie) 3) No reds are shooting at me (They don't tend to let me stand still so I can take out tanks) 4) The tank doesn't just drive quickly away or towards me to kill me in the 2 or 3 shots it takes.
So, standards tanks should take a dedicated AV squad to kill a tank? And I suppose the rest of the opposing team is just gonna sit there and let the AV squad focus on that one thing before it becomes an infantry battle again.
You either spec into AV to defend against tanks that can slaughter you, leaving you open to infantry, or you can focus on the infantry and leave the tanks to slaughter you.
Nah, I don't think many people are gonna go for that. |

I think many of us have given up caring about AV v Tanks, it's ****** so we look at Tank v Tank, shield HAVs are UP compared to Armor HAVs when it comes to fighting one another. A Madrugar can do everything a Gunnlogi can, but better.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
- AV grenades should never solo anything short of a militia vehicle.
- They should compliment AV fittings to help out the AV user. My possible ideas include slowing down the vehicle, limiting turn speed, increasing turret heat buildup, etc.. So long as it doesn't mess with module cooldowns.
In Fact, as most guys with half a brain have at least an advanced AV weapon this would make more sense than anything I've heard suggested.
Val is an excellent driver and has an amazing Methana fit, but we rarely go games where we won't get popped at least once and at the end of the game we will still lose ISK. All because every game there is a squad capable of bringing out packed AV grenades with their lolprotoswarms and there isn't anything you can do about it.
Even with a portion of their team being gimped to hell with their swarms/smg/avgrenades, we still get 6 guys going 0/3 in the deployment with a sniper rifle doing absolutely nothing for the team, but that's a whole different issue. |

What will happen in the world of AV is damage vs shields from explosives will be reduced more but armor will stay the same. This will be the MD nerf as well.
The Plasma Cannon will get an AV tweak to knock your shields out like a Flux.
