I know, you totally need some sort of strategy or tactic to kill people. I mean, why the **** doesn't everything just kill someone when I push the button? |

I do well as a Gallente armor-tank going up against shield-tankers.
Edit: Hell I don't even armor tank. I just use reps with no shield modules and take people down in pubs. Now PC/CBs are a different thing but then I'm just getting back into the game, so I wouldn't do it regardless. |

The Flux install killing people is a glitch from at least Chromosome. It came back in 1.2.
CCP shouldn't balance things because of bugs. |

Until I meet a squad of try hards that spam Core Locus Grenades like there is no tomorrow. |

Grenades, and just explosives in general, are done really poorly in this game.
This game would be a lot more fun if all explosives were removed, esp proto nades.
Seriously, most of my kills are starting to come from properly cooked nades. I need nanohives for nades more than I need it for ammo.
Explosives are sooooo easy to abuse. |

Explosives are sooooo easy to abuse. Exactly. I upgraded to M1 locus grenades and soon to Coer Locus Grenades. |

I'm starting to feel the same way. Hell, I only use the M1 Locust, and I never go into a fight without one. Half of the time it does most of the work for me, if not all of the work for me. |

Yep, if there is any sort of CQC then its all about the nade spam.
Just another case of poor balancing.
Almost everything in this game is a 10% increase in power between tiers but nades go from 400 dmg and 6.0 radius to 600 damage and 7.2m radius, its so silly. 10% increase in blast radius, check!, 50% increase in damage from std to pro... lolwtf!? |

The thing is, when I flux a shield tanker, they're left with something ridiculous like 115 armor HP that then I can simply kill them with a mean stare. |

Actually, if you consider the increase in area, the 10% increase in radius translates into around 44% increase in the effective area of the Core Locus over the basic Locus grenade. So the 50%~ increase in damage is on par with the increase in the radius.
If you consider volume instead, then the increase from basic to proto is about 72% more effective. |

Lol? Grenade is designed to kill people. Flux Grenade is designed to kiill the shield it works as intended. Killing people with grenades isn't abusing them... it's using them as a weapon. People really complain about the dumbest things. And I've never been killed by a flux. I believe they fixed that glitch but yeah.

Scrambler rifle does 120% to shields. ALL EXPLOSIVES do 135% to armor. Grenades. MD. Flaylock.
And they have splash radius to counter the slowest race.
Don't complain. |

This is supposed to be false. It's supposed to be 120% for each as indicated by the dev blog (1.2 weapon ranges and beyond.) In reality it seems broken eventually CCP will get around to it...I give it 6 months. |

Meaning that there is no way in hell that we can evade even one shot. A scrambler rifle can miss, a MD can't. |

If they both did 120% I think explosives and lasers would be pretty balanced (weapon wise, grenades are kind of their own beast).
If you get in close to an explosive user you cannot run but the best way to fight them is to use range. Outside 20m MD and Flylock are extremely difficult to use without height, if someone is pinging you here on even ground they are just a skilled shot.
Lasers are extreme range, these will rip you to shreds from 50m+. Yes they do take some aim and in close are less of an I win button but are useful in all ranges. |

We need grenades to kill heavies and those stacking armor plates,if you are to slow to run away from grenades,it's the penalty you get for having all those hitpoints.Flux and locus are both extremely powerful. |
