The SP event is fine. It allows people to get more SP over a longer time period. It seems like people will never be satisfied. They always seem to have something to ***** about even when CCP gives us bonus SP.

I don't think the active SP boost is punishing anyone.
It's just largely irrelevant. If you've ever played past your bonus SP amount you know you get tiny amounts of active SP, like maybe 150 to 300 SP! Or atleast I do.
Oh wow, so maybe I get 600 extra SP instead of 300! On top of the 3 to 4 K I get from passive.
A real blow your mind week...
Oh, which also HELPS the AFK'ers, because they doubled the bonus SP amount that you can get in a week - an amount you can tap into MOST EFFECTIVELY BY AFK'ING!
That said, I don't think it punishes anyone.

If they really wanted to give the less-hardcore part of the community a SP bonus event. They would simply Double the active SP, but not raise the cap. That way all of us "normal" people could actually gain some extra SP for the week, but AFKers would still just get the same amount as always. |
