Because when you think about making a game like this, a feature like that isnt something you really think of, Using a suit that has two weapon slots is kind of a waste to use both for a sidearm weapon.

I usually run solo, squad up evry once in a while but only play a game or two, i only really ever go positive when I use my frontline 0isk cost suits, other wise im usually just breaking even day by day. Most ive ever had is about 2m.

Personally, I think small railguns are fine, I do agree with the overhear bonus however and fixing the camera on th ADSs so you can actually aim. Small railguns can easily take out dropships and LAV's if you have a skilled gunner, I took one out ...
