I would def say it's still worth it. I own a Razor Naga and a generic KB, I wouldn't trade it for a pad any day. Now granted you get less response from the Mouse at least I do, you can turn quicker with a pad however the precision from using a mou...

Well, what they will probably do is reset SP and re-give you the SP you have earned when there are skill changes/updates and equipment additions. They have done this in the past with EVE sooo... At least I hope incase they add some new equipment ...
