I did read your post, but what you fail to realize is that perhaps not every shot landed a hit, even with hit markers, if it doesn't register, the counter does not reset. Broken hit detection compounds the issue.

Shield regulators, and shield rechargers, with 2 complex regulators, if I get behind cover for 2.5 sec (or you reload without rapid reload skill) my shields start coming back, and a complex recharger gives your shields 45% more recharged per pulse...
