... or transparent aluminum, or what ever. For example, I'm sure there is supposed to be glass around the large circular area in front of the television, or on the table in front of the couch, but it's all invisible, and I and my things just hover...

I don't think that experience rollover is bad, but I don't think that it is a helpful at all for shrinking the gap between new and old players, which was the point. I don't know why it is a popular suggestion to do that.
