22. Need some help deciding.. - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
The big question is how much SP do you have? Because if it's more than 1-2million I'd probably say "No, it's probably not worth creating a new character". Also, could you be more specific with what you feel you've made mistakes with?

24. Tank advice - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Militia tanks vs proto tanks are an EXTREME uphill battle, simply due to the extra fitting afforded to proto and how much better all of their modules are. Currently armor tanks are king, with a lot of them running either dual hardener or dual repp...

No it is not an 'opinion'. It is a fact based on overwhelming empirical evidence that cloaks on assaults are bad. You can enjoy playing 'bad' fits all you want, but that doesn't mean they're not bad.

28. Shooting and Surviving - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Cloaks on assaults are bad, the situation you described doesn't happen drake - ever. They are visual only and most suits can pick you up easily on passive scans... you spend a huge amount of CPU & PG to fit a cloak that doesn't actually provid...

I've always kind of felt that a mlt cal heavy spoofs the hp and gameplay of a well invested cal assault.

Feel free to chat with me in game, I've been working (slooooowly) on a caldari guide and I could help highlight key skills for sp allocation.

32. some-what new player question - in Rookie Training Grounds [original thread]
Early on I'd suggest slapping a weapon like the militia combat rifle on a militia caldari heavy frame, fitting that with a shield recharger and an armor repairer, then setting to work on getting shield and armor upgrades skills up a bit. A big po...

You'll have to find one that 'clicks' with you. Assault rifles (or as they should be known - blaster/plasma rifles) are short range (~40m mark) high dps weapons. Better vs shield than armor. They have a lot of variant styles that emulate other we...

Tanks are pretty grossly overtuned at the moment: A comparison true adamance made with me was that 'in 1.6 when av weapons had more damage and more range, a madrugar could have 6700 armor and 25% passive hardening or so. Which put it at the 10000 ...
