your math is bad. I would say on average players use between 12 and 13 "items" a match if you only count the suits and no vehiculs, and the dispersion of suits is even, a team with more heavies will have a lower ammount a team with more logi's hig...

to be honest gear isn't the issue, because have any vet roll a new character and even in milita gear the will stomp actual new players. and the guys who just want to stomp newbies, will do just that.
