My Sica was dropped from a little higher than usual, but neither one took damage. I was in a slight depression, and calling the vehicle in on ground slightly above me. That might have helped.

I haven't had any trouble spotting people in my tank. I've only used it once, and I was just running my Sica for testing purposes, but I was able to keep track of targets near the limit of my missile turret range.
