If you're trying to keep up with The Joneses you should be running passive all the time, and active when you play. If you play 'ery day go all out and run the 30 day active booster. After the change, if you only play on weekends, run 3- day active.

By design, you can spend AUR to obtain 'named' gear that is skill point friendly. Don't have Assault Rifle 3 trained yet to use the GEK? No problem. Buy the 'Killswitch' with AUR instead.
