It's because they are supposed to be flexible / adaptable. Think of the sentinel, commando and scout as specialist suits, the Sentinel and commando have built in hp modules and the scout has built in ewar mods. Medium don't have built in advantage...

Could the buff to installations hp be a culprit? Often they are still standing at the end of the match, whereas before they were all destroyed with their cost/value included in the isk pool to divvy out.
