As a sniper since June, they are just as important. We give cover fire, can give overhead info about what is happening and can place down squad objectives much easier. It would be nice if hit detection worked though so my shots actually counted...

This always pisses me off too. I try to snipe some people, it SHOWS the blue thing of their shield being hit, but they receive zero damage. This happens to me like 60% of time and its well and truly pissing me off. Kinda makes the sniper proficien...

It's meant to be slow, since the beginning it has that high HP warfare which relies far more on tactics than who has the best reflexes. Could say Star Wars Battlefront games are similar in that sense.
