Doesn't seem to be a point in running complex dmg mods post 1.8. If you are gonna run any, might as well make it enhanced. I don't think the extra 1% will be worth the cpu/pg, even if you stack 'em.

Can we leave Dropships out of this? I like my 3rd person view, I see no reason to change it. A free moving turret in 1st person would be fine, I personally wouldn't use it though.

Hopefully their weaker precision keeps them from getting nerfed. Their use may questioned by some, but some of the most entertaining matches for me are the ones where I play AWACS in my Grims.
