The chat and mail system is, in my opinion, the strongest thing Dust had going for it. We're pushing hard for similar features in the new game, because how can anybody expect a strong community, without the ability to communicate?

It's not Viktor's fault. CCP was quite "focused" on the format they wanted weapons names to adhere to. "Laser Focused" just never stood a chance.
