843 has now switched to Team Chat for in-game communication. We've done this for two reasons, one is to work with other corps/randoms during the battle and second, to promote our corp and get recruits that have mics. Some corps are too cool to us...

Your first point solves the second. I can't tell you how many times my dropship has frozen in mid air but the SL missiles are still moving... and then smacking my frozen ship. Some would say "lag switch"... but, I wouldn't think people would stoop...

A tank with two or three shield hardeners and advanced turrets with damage mods could do that. Did you have shield hardeners on? I've taken direct orbital strikes with hardeners on and it only slightly dented my shields.
