Dunno what CCP will do after this post but to be honest dont care so lets get started: I started playing this game back in the E3 build (beta) and it had many flaws and only 2 game modes to play (skirmish and ambush). Ive told myself that CCP eventually will add more game modes into the game and add more content to the game. But however this happend extreme slowly. The game that we have today is a boring grindfest for every 1. CCP's attempt to bring competition to the game failed aswell with broken PC mechanics and the big blue donut called "EON" who are attacking any 1 who doesnt obey to them or uses "skilled players" as ringers for PC matches. We have various flaws like scout suits getting allmost every time insta killed, tanks beeing banned to the redline and dropships beeing "1 hit wonders". I dont know why CCP wanted to make a MMO-FPS but its clearly a big fail. Why? Well the new player/veteran player SP gap makes it impossible for new players to actually compete in this game unless they grinded like 3 months every week. CCP fails to comprehend that FPS players usually dont have the patience to grind for their gear. And if we are talking about better gear lets take a look at the earnings in public matches vs the cost of proto equipment. Roughly sayd a suit with most proto stuff on it is worth like 1 public match (just so) so its quite difficulty for the normal player who goes 5-3 to afford that stuff. On the other hand we have PC with the self proclaimed police from molden heath called "EON". Corperations these days are getting called out for using ringers or starting to cry in the war room if they getting attacked. It literally turned into framville 2.0. And for what purpose? Just to farm ISK which can be spend on pub matches to proto stomp the n00bs who have neither ISK or SP to match this force. This leads us to another fancy feature called "AFK farming". AFK farming is there cause you can do it and nothing stops you from doing it and you gain both ISK+SP. CCP didnt implemented PC to create "competition". No they wanted that the veterans are allways have a healthy supply off ISK. And you know why they want that? very simple that the proto stomps continue. CCP wants that new players are getting frustrated so that they spend money on boosters or AUR equipment to have a slight chance against the proto stomping. On the bright side off things a little bird tweeted to me that player trading is not too far off. And you know why? Cause you can sell those precious AUR items for more ISK then their regular counterparts.
TL;DR CCP dont give a damn about proto stomping, balance or fairness. They want you to buy more AUR regardless how much you complain. |

He isn't going to have an intelligent answer. Don't push him into a corner, he'll just lash out in an illogical and hilarious fashion. |

look, sometimes even agree with you. But, yeah it would have been a great feedback if you didn't constantly attack on other corps/alliances. As I already stated in another post "don't hate the player hate the game", you 'd probably do the same thing if you were in their shoes. Anyway, i do really agree with you |

If I had to draw an analogy you sound like a man who has won employee of the month in what you have now discovered was a chemical weapons plant.

It's not CCP's fault that 'the whole industry is moving to the free to play model'. Anyone with basic understanding of math knows that you cant make something out of nothing. In order to pay for game development you have to have ppl pay for the product. Ppl won't pay for anything if there is no reason to, so the developer has to 'incentivize' the player but creating a pay to win setting. If you open your eyes, you would know that this is the only way for F2P to work.
As a result, of course, we have a low budget game, a producer who cant recover costs since no one is willing to pay for a poor game experience, and consumers mislead by empty promises. |

Well, I read that mass of words and jumble.
I understand and can agree with it.
I started playing a long time ago, so I progressed with everyone else. I never had to grind out SP while getting slaughtered by PROs. When Uprising came out, I would have not played DUST any longer if I had to get my millions of SP back. I had access to anything I wanted, and I stomped Noobs with reckless abandon. DUST is nothing but a giant pub stomp against the sheep that get fed to us. Noobs need their own "Training Grounds" where they can get used to the controls, learn the maps, and the most effective style for them. Once you aquire 100,00 WP or 1,500,000 SP you go into the "real word" of DUST.
The game is centered around AURUM. CCP will never change that; they run a business. They are no different from any other developer. Is it pay to win? I think it is. For example. The difference between an ADV Assault suit and a PRO Assault suit is around the tune of 1.8M SP I think. That encourages players to by boosters, or just spend the AURUM outright to obtain a "Neo" PRO Assault Suit. PRO equipment is better, and will make you a better player than people with lesser gear. It's more "Pay to be better and make up for a short coming of skill"
Lastly, you can only simply cure the dullness of DUST by doing a few things. -You could join a cooperation and participate in dominating those noobs -Don't take the game so seriously, and limit your play time (For example I only play 1-2 days a week, enough to get my Bonus SP). -Play it until the game dies. Which this tie next year, it most likely will. DUST is just a side project by CCP in order to capitalize on the growing FPS market in gaming. They won't fund a losing entity for the h*ll of it, very long. -Notice that I put some sort of structure to this ramble and emulate it next time. Don't vent about a bad session in DUST, truly look at your experience overall. If its bad overall, I suggest finding a new game. May I suggest Homefront? Even though its server is empty.
