Lol! I am the same. Don't know the names of the map. If they are plastered somewhere I must always ignore it when it pops up. |

That is funny, because I have always called the maps by the map type first, then the socket type.
So I would have called it Bridge with Rings.

1 has 2 pts in city other has 3
the bridge can be coupled with any city structure, so spine crescent is simply any map with the bridge?
I think ill stick with our way ;)
Ya trying to understand the names are just too confusing.Ringswith bridge is EASY and flawless. |

The socket is the same in the picture they use, but the underlying map is different.
Skim Junction is ALWAYS five flags, with three inside the facility.
Iron Delta is ALWAYS four flags, with two in the installation.

yea I hear ya, and if CCP would label districts with these names I would definitely commit them to memory, but until then.. there are literally 3 city structures in PC
along with 3 others that aren't (YaY no more manus peak.. ironic I know THAT map name lol)
easy spreadsheet tho with simply # of pts, city structure, bridge Y/N

Here's the names I know. I think MOST Teamplayers if not all will agree with me and would know exactly what map I am referring.
Rings with Bridge Mushroom 4pt/5pt Rings 4pt/5pt Mushroom with bridge L and straight pipe Flatbed Towers with bridge Towers 4pt/5pt Manus Peak or "Mountains" as CCP calls it.
Is that all of them? If you really think about it there's what 5 maps? They just change environments and stuff to pass off as 20 maps or however many they claim they have?

There are really only the following maps:
PC Maps: Iron Delta Skim Junction Spine Crescent
Non PC maps: Ashland ( straight and L pipe) Line Harvest (four flags with a table top in the centre, towers along each side of the map) Manus hills.
everything else is a variation with the sockets.

I know this may sound lazy but can ya edit the PC maps in () such as Mushroom Rings Towers? |

Yeah but only a few know the real names (I'm not one) I blame CCP for not posting the name of the map while loading in. (Or in the little corner of the map where they have the useless Eve System info). I mean what game requires player to goto a website to learn the names of maps. It's much easier to remember Bridge with rings (or as I call it The Bridge at Lord of the Rings ) than any of those name.
PS I was going to put a "thou shall not pass" joke in there somewhere but I thought that would be too much. |

It's crazy that you guys don't know the names to everything.
There are 3 complexes, and which complex you fight in depends on the surface structure of the district. Cargo Hub = Orbital Artillery (rings) Production Facility = Biomass (towers) Research Lab = Communications (mushroom)
Then there are 3 maps, which seem to be have been randomly generated (they won't change even if you change surface structure). Skim Junction (2 points outside) Iron Delta (2 points outside) Spine Crescent (bridge, 3 points outside)
