I wonder, and hope ALOT, that CCP would introduce the Jovian Directorate into Dust, in the eve lore, the Jove are far more advanced in genetics, wick could even faster, stronger, more lethal clones. It would awesome to zoom across the field with ridiculous speed, but in a paper frame essentially. Or a tank of a guy, but with no sprint, ALOT of possibilities with that race, don't be scared to go crazy CCP! |

INCOMING LORE STUFFS
I'm not sure the Jovians could afford to put people on the ground. About 10% of Jovians suffer from the Jovian Disease, which is a result of their own genetic tampering. If they were to make clones, I would assume that they would also suffer from this, possibly even moreso since to create a combat clone would take ever more genetic tampering, which is why their population has plateaued in the first place.
Now, if they were to make suits, that would be pretty badass. |

The jove's main power of influence in the galaxy does not come from their ability to deploy firepower (the only incidents between the empires and the Jove were by wormholes, and even then, it was the empires attempting to invade with promises of wonderous technology to crush their opponenets with if they had won)
the fact is, the Jove would NEVER allow their technology to just "fall" into the hands of the empires, the jove keep the empires on a leash by providing tech without a way to do any6thing but produce exactly what they are given. this is why the empires can create capsuleers, but they cannot improve on the capsuleer design, they lack all of the science required to connect where they are with where the jove tech is, so it may as well be magic, all they can do is build off blueprints, but not understand them.
the jove also formed concord, that coupled with other "gifted" tech was made with the sole purpose of preventing the empires from annihilating eachother by forcing a stalemate.
so yeah, lore wise, no Jove stuff.
Development wise, no, Jove stuff is for the devs and chronicles, not player ownership. (lets put it this way, you'd be mroe likely to see Jove ships owned by EVE players eyars before you even saw a Jove suit in DUST, and its been stated that there are no plans for Jove for the enxt DECADE of eve development) |

This will not happen. If I remember correctly, CCP even used the idea of a new playable race on April fools to get the Eve folks. |

Don't waste your mind thinking an idea. CCP only listen to Iron Wolf Saber to develop their game. That's why laser rifles are so cool my little hobbit |

There is no sense in having the Jove when we already have a ton of factions aside from just the four empires. Not to mention the four empires subfactions. Angel Cartel, Syndicate, Serpentis Corporation, Sansha's Nation, Blood Raiders, Guristas' Pirates, Mordu's Legion, Sisters of EVE and if you must have some sort of Jovians, then Society of Conscious Thought.
In terms of lore, no true Jovian will ever leave the space of the third Jovian empire, save for religious scholars as represented by the Society of Conscious Thought. And the SoTC is implied to possibly not even be under Jovian control, or that the Jovians don't exist as a race anymore. The Sleepers are the only Jovian group confirmed to still exist, and we only know they do because we sort of went graverobbing on their not so in the grave cryopods to get the implants that let us be Clone Soldiers to begin with.
So, much as we'd love to see a new race... The Jove weren't added into even EVE for a reason. Old ghost data suggests that you would have gone to DNA Therapy labs to suspend the existence of your Jovian character. This was scrapped. The Jove do not leave Jove space. Those that do ultimately all succumb to the Jove Disease. The Society of Conscious Thought and the Sleepers are an odd exception, but the reasons are things that normal Jovians will not do. The Sleepers do not die because they exist solely in virtual reality, using drones to interact with real space while they exist immortally looking for a cure. The SoTC uses implants and social engineering to literally rewrite one's thoughts. They developed a mind control implant for this purpose. Then the Empires proceeded to not be so happy when Sansha Kuvakei used it to turn all of his civilians into a hivemind of slaves. SoTC is now rumored to use it on problem students in their academies, and presumably to lengthen their own lifespans before the inevitable depression cannot be overcome. |

Gnosis is Soceity of Conscious Thought, NOT JOVIAN they're just people who work with the jove as thier public agents, Most things built by the Society are built with empire tech.
As for my theories, Jove are extinct have been for a few years. |

there are jovian ships piloted by eve pilots, look up the guy that lost $9000 worth of a ship, it was a jovian capital and it got ganked by a spy and the owner raged hard... so yeah the jove have been making playable ships little by little so in a few years as you put it, we will see jovian assault, heavy and scout dropsuits |

Mmmm Jove is normally what the devs fly and when the smallest class of jove ships (frigates) are flyin around with modules called something like "mine domesday" and i can't remember what i think it's pretty clear that jove faction should just be keept at what it is right now Maybe when CCP get the time they'll sit down and reskin some of the already made suits and make them into Jove suits like Jove scout having 2 light weapon slots and 5 highs and low with 2 equipment slots and grenade. It'll be using something like "BOOMheadshoot assault rifle" and secondary would be "domesday mass driver" and when they throw a nanohive on the floor it'll be the "SelectiveGod nanohive" that only reps people from CCP alliance |

if you look at the video for CCP presents for 2013, youl see that one of their developers for eve online mentioned something about pilots personally building jump gates to travel into jovian space finally and discover "new and untold wondrous things within this new space that nobody has seen before"... so yeah in the future sometime the jove might be accessible to pilots |

That was a Revenant, which along with the Nightmare, Phantasm, and Succubus, is a Sansh ship. It was not made by the Jovians, even if you want to argue that it used some of their tech.

Aaaannnnyway, back on topic, something that dust is starving for, is content. This could be not only a new race, but game type as well. Like attack or defend from jovian attack, 24v6. You'd have to spec into Jove, but it would make for some wicked matches. |
