I'm currently in-game, staring at the map. I chose a spawn location, but the spawn circle isn't filling up and the "abort deployment" prompt is showing, but I can't abort deployment. I can still hit select and see the chat/notifications window, though. |

This has happened to me fairly regularly over the last couple of weeks. It seems to be a bit worse in 1.3. There is at least one thread on it already. There has not been any CCP response that I know of. |

For myself it started in 1.2. I have not noticed an increase in 1.3 but have yet to play much of 1.3 so that might mean exactly nothing.
The only good news is when the battle finally gets shutdown on the server it kicked me back to Quarters. If it is just a quick pub match I will just quit and restart DUST. If the results are significant and I don't want to lose them I wait for the server. However, I have yet to verify that doing such actually saves the information as I don't keep a running log of my activity during a match and that is the only way to check the results.
Hope they address it. |

FWIW, my guess is this is one of a group of symptoms associated with a momentary loss of communication between the client and the server. Depending on when it happens you freeze, get disconnected, don't get a weapon switch, ... you get the idea.
Fixing that class of problem is _really_ hard in situations where fast response is important. If you use a system that verifies every message it's a lot slower, if you don't sometimes you loose track of what's going on. And in a set up like this there are a lot of parts that can have the same issue.
