I use standard gear and cause the massive hurt of protobears. Only a scrub uses proto gear in a pub. If they use it, I'll do what I can to make them eat Plasma Cannon. |

You're assuming I'm wanting to dent their income.

Definition wrote:A Scrub is a player of a competitive video game who adamantly believes that his or her "house rules" should apply to everyone to promote his or her view of "fair play". If a scrub sees a move or strategy he doesn't like (or can't beat), he bans it (if only in his own mind), and complains that anyone who uses it is cheap.
Wouldn't that mean we're all scrubs, including yourself, due to the fact that you'd be applying "house rules" that it's okay to use gear that's typically intended for higher end matches against people that are often times just out of the academy instead of the anti-proto view that a large number of people have thanks to the mismatchmaking? Wait. Hang on. That's... what happens when people have different opinions?! WHAT?! Let's be uniform and non-different. Hey, wait a moment. You're part of EoN. One of the last people to put opinions out about using protogear in a pub. Almost as bad as SVER, though I don't see as many Madrugars from you people. Huehuehue. |

I'm not going to defend the game for letting proto players play against militia... but you're just as likely to come across an enemy using proto. So why arbitrarily make up your own rules and then complain when others don't follow it? That's the black and white definition of a scrub.
I'm not defending the game's horrible match making, or even poor design (you may have seen me rail against the horrible LAV implementation here and there.). I just pointed out the irony of someone saying something is "scrub" while being a scrub.
Eh? I didn't say "stop using proto in pub" or "use only blah blah", I said that I make it my aim to kill them that are using it.
We've gotten on the wrong foot here.
Alright. I consider people that use high end gear against low end to be scrubs. Not a rule enforcer type of scrub, but the sort that is comparable to, say, someone with everything in BF3 against someone who only has played for a week or so. The whole "knowledgeable vs learning" scenario. I probably should of been clearer on what I meant, considering we're all more than likely from a list of different backgrounds, so I'll take a hit for that but nothing else.
While I detest people doing high end versus low end, I'm not going to tell them to stop, but I'm also not going to forgive them. Eventually, those low ends (if they don't quit, which is completely understandable considering the state of the game) are going to be high end. My problem with that, however, is the vicious cycle of highs picking on lows, lows get high, high picks on low. [I]That's[i] the problem I have. |
