Ok, so, I have an ALT and I have chose the Minmatar Logi suit based on it's racial perks (hacking buff). I feel that in certain matches, this fit would benefit my corp. I am up to hacking lv. 3, and i gotta admit, i am loving this fit so far. the only thing that is stumping me is the total HP. as most of you know, the minmatar logi suit is base *roughly* 90 shield, 150 armor. it is my intent to fit as many codebreaker mods into the low slots as i can...firstly because of the racial benefit, and secondly because there is no stacking penalty. soooooooo that leaves me with survivability. at proto, min logo has 4 hi, 4 lo. how would i go about tanking this drop suit knowing that all of the low slots will be filled with codebreakers? shield extenders all the way? even that would leave me with what......around 300 shield? total around 500hp? i'm just estimating the actual numbers...just looking for some insight. this is an ALT after all. thanks for any input. |

Well, there isn't much to do really if you want to have codebreakers in your low slots. 4 complex shield extenders are the only way to go if you want to have hp.
Although, with the Minmatar hacking bonus and SP in the hacking skills gives you huge boost even without codebreakers so you might want to think if you really need the modules for that.
I've been experimenting with reactive ferroscale plates to get more armor without hit to my speed so that's an option also. Plus they give you +x armor repair/sec also which is helpful.
With armor plates I just can't deal with the speed reduction. |

I don't think you should fill all your low slots with codebreakers. Limit it to just one, if you train systems hacking you hack plenty fast enough with the bonus on the logi.
Four complex shield extenders will add 291 HP (with skills) to your shields. Your shields can also reach 113 base when you train skills. This will give you 404 shield overall, which is a fairly solid buffer.
If you don't spend all of your low slots on codebreakers, it also lets you fit a rudimentary armour tank. A complex armour repairer and, say, two enhanced plates will give you another somewhat solid tank. You'll get about 365 armour and something like 12 or 13 HP/s regen on your armour. That's with a single codebreaker as well, which lets you do very quick hacking anyway.
You might also consider dropping a complex shield extender for a damage modifier as well, as it can significant increase your damage output. That would drop you to about 320 shields.
In total, you'd have 404 shield HP and 365 armour HP for a total EHP of 769, or you'd have 320 shield HP and 365 armour for a total EHP of 685, but also having a damage modifier. |

Thanks to all the suggestions. I have reconsidered filling all the low slots with the codebreaker. I'm already hacking twice as fast as base with only 2 ADV code breakers, so some more SP into the hack skill and the racial bonus will improve that even more, so that'll work for me. as far as the armor goes, I think i'll try the ferroscale (spelling?) plates. I agree speed tanking is very effective, so i may even consider a catalyzer. thanks to all the suggestions. keep em coming. |

Playing the Min logi i would make a comment or two.
1) if you are going for the ninja hacking then speed tanking is the best option. Shields, speed, and armor reppers - putting armor on yourself will decrease your sprinting speed by 3-10%. Upgrading your biotics can reduce some of that to a certain extent.
2) Max suit skill and hacking skill (thats around 4 million) to give you the best possible unimplemented hacking speed.
3) Just one code breaker - but make it the best. With the reduction of multiple modules a player really benefits from just one or two. With your naked hacking speed and one code breaker your are set to be very effective. More than that and you are giving up protection and other modules that would make you a better addition to the team.
4) Add remote explosives to your fit if you are going to ninja hack. |

thanks for the replies. I've been getting some great suggestions, and I now have a much better idea as to how to fit the MinLogi. All the tips, comments, and suggestions have been greatly appreciated, and I have considered everybody's input. Thanks, mercs. |

As most have said only one complex codebreaker should be enough to get the most from the suit. Then I would add a basic profile dampener so that other logis and scouts who haven't trained in profile detection can't see you in radar.
If you're into hacking you'll also want it to do it stealthy. Basic dampener should give you 42dB profile scan. The rest should be shield extenders in the highs and 2 basic plates or complex ferro. No need for repairer when the logi bonus gives you passive repair, for now.
I noticed the hacking and dropsuits skills don't affect the codebreaker efficacy, they are passive skills. So try hacking without the codebreaker and see if you feel it's fast enough. If it is, ditch codebreaker and equip another armor plate. If you feel it's slow or the codebreaker is a huge improvement to speed, stay with the codebreaker. Good luck with your role.

What's everyone using on a proto Min logi fit? I'm sitting at advanced but have a load of AUR sat there I'm not really using at the moment so was gonna dip into the proto and see how it goes.

I run a fit very much like the one you describe and here's what I've learned.
1-2 Codebreakers is enough. With Hacking lvl 5 + Racial lvl 5 you won't need more than 1-2 codebrakers as much as you'll need KinCats or some armor HP.
Stack the highs with shield extenders, in the lows I'd use 1 codebreaker, 1 proto KinCat and two Ferro plates (the logi has onboard reps once you max skills so rely on those).
In a min suit this gives you very high movement and hack speed along with some decent HP (be warned though "decent" does not mean "can stand in fire and live", if you're taking fire get to cover).

I think others have alluded to this, but I have not heard it expressed explicitly: Your goal should be "Get X hacked as soon as possible" not "Hack X Faster" ...
... that is, if you GET to the objective SOONER it can mitigate the lost hack speed from codebreakers. So for an initial 'start of match' sprinter, you're probably better served with 2x Kin Cats and 1x Complex Cardiac Regulator if you can fit it along with 4x shield extenders and your other gear. For later objectives where you are spawning closeby, or expect to move via vehicle, you can switch it out and use some combination of plates and codebreakers. |

Unless you want to have 125% hacking speed bonus, then you could fit three complex hacking mods and one armor plate or ferroscale plate and be more survivable than you would be and still have a 100% hacking speed bonus. |

I wish it worked that way. But the benefits of module stacking fall off quite dramatically. Essentially useless after a 2nd codebreaker. |
