It is absolutely the best weapon ever (if you have skill with getting headshots) It does 400% damage than normal if headshot. so with complex dmg mods = 400 dmg of advanced scrambler assault pistol if head shot- thats more than sniper rifle, why aren't people using these- you can skrew over cal logs if they stand still and fire at you. |

for being a sidearm, pistols have usually always been the dominant CQC weapon in most shooters. In Socom Confrontation I would run most of my matches with a gladys and laser sight pissing people off all the time.
I don't have any SP yet into the pistols for Dust , but one day I will and can't wait to see a kill from me popup in the killfeed using a wolfmans and then dying to a sniper round to the head right after. |

Despite the fact that you are trying to downplay the SP, this statement is absolutely true.
The Scrambler Pistol do in fact suck to use, if you don't have the skill to use them properly.
I would know. I'm the Pistol King (prove me wrong if you disagree). It is my favorite and primary weapon 90% of the time (I like to mix things up a bit, every now and then).

Lol. That's what grenades are for. otherwise it is possible to take out more than two people, as long as they either miss their shots on you long enough for you to get them, or if they are distracted and you don't miss YOUR shots.

During chromosome i was a fulltime Logistics Medic and to enforce this, i always ran with a Assault scrambler pistol. althought i didnt get as much kills as someone copping an AR but it does the job very well should i need to result in shooting back. |

No, omce CCP fixes aiming, shotguns will be the best weapon. Make sure to have one dampner on though... |

Eh, I tried out the advanced scrambler pistols, breach, tri-burst, and the semi-auto, and I am not a fan. Breach is too slow, tri-burst is Ok, but still as slow as the breach when you consider you have to make all three shots hit to do decent damage, and the semi-auto magazine runs dry way too fast.
I could see this being a great weapon for kb/m users since they can aim on a dime 2 miles out while simultaneously doing a side-strafing backflip, but for controller users with no aim-assist ATM, it's pretty useless -- at least for me. |

Can't aim with this gun. Slow ADS, high strafing speed and DS3 makes aiming insanely difficult. A shame because I always choose the semi-auto pistol in every FPS I play since I love them. But in this game it's a joke gun. No wonder you never see it in the killfeed. Sticking with my core flaytearextratorlolexplosives514lock.

The scrambler pistol is really good if you're a sniper guarding an installation and someone manages to sneak by you to hack the thing (but they're not in your line of sight). Run up to them and cap 'em in the back of the head.
Aside from that though, you have to have mad skills to be able to have a pistol as your main. I would want to meet her/him and shake their hand (and get a picture and an autograph). |
