I wasn't sure where to put this but here seemed appropriate if members of the CPM wanted to comment and if any trolls started, they'd be stomped hard and fast here.

Hello to you all,
It is with a heavy heart and personal sorrow that I must convey to you all the very sad news that 3 bird, our Director of Personel in DUST University has died.
I recieved a message from his account earlier today, sent to me by his brother that 3 bird had passed of his own volition and he felt we all should really know.
3 bird was here from the beginning and along with Phyxitt Blaze were the first director appointments I made to help me run DUST University. In those first few difficult weeks, as we found our feet, me and he chatted often about our hopes for the game, it's progression and how we in DUST University might help players both new and old. It is fitting testament to that early work that we yesterday passed 1600 members in D-UNI. In recognition of that devotion he will be given the title of Director Emeritus and will never be removed from the roster.
His brother also wanted to thank you all. DUST University meant a lot to 3 bird and it is his contention that we in the corporation and the Dust community as a whole gave 3 bird a real sense of companionship in the last few months of his life. Many of you played with 3 bird, many of you chatted with him. My last game with him was last week when we kicked the snot out of the opposition and he loved it. I know he loved playing with all you guys as well and I take comfort in that.
I know you will all join me in sending your thoughts and condolences to his family and friends at this difficult time
Thank you 3 bird. You may be gone, but you won't be forgotton.

I may not have had the pleasure of meeting 3 bird in my communications with Dust University, but I wish to extend my condolences to his family and his friends that he has made though his time on Dust 514.

I've only played with the guy once or twice during my time in Dust University, so I never really got to know him. But it does make me sad to hear that we've lost one of our own. My condolences to his friends and family. |

This is absolutely terrible to hear - I knew him not - but my heart goes out to him and his family and friends.
He won't be a lost to just Dust-Uni - but everyone here.

As an ex member of Dust Uni this is very sad and shocking news to hear. To lose one of our own is always a hard blow to take, but it must be an extremely tough time for 3 bird's friends and family. To them I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences. At the next opportunity i will raise a glass to a fallen warrior and fellow merc. RIP 3 bird, sleep well. |

3 Bird was one of the most mature, candid, and responsible guys I've ever met in Dust. He was my main contact for setting up training matches between KEQ and D-UNI back under the old contract system, and he spared no expense both in getting the games set up and in getting feedback after the match, relayed directly to students.
He's a sore loss for D-UNI, and especially for the community. o7 |

It's one thing to lose a member to another game, its quite another to know that a beloved friend and squadmate will never be returning to play again. I'm deeply sorry for your loss, and I really appreciate you sharing 3 bird's passing with the rest of the community, we should always pause and reflect any time we lose one of our own. My thoughts are with Dust University and friends (as well as 3 bird's family) - and I hope his memory inspires other leaders to step up and help new players in his wake.

I never had opportunity to meet him, but I have huge respect for dust university and have guided many new players from local chat to join these guys and feedback that I have received afterwards from them has been very positive.
They really help new players where cpp has failed.
Would be nice if Tournament winner could name the planet as 3 bird to honor his memory. |

I'm truly sorry to hear this.
Outside of being a player, DU, of DUST - i am sorry as a person for your loss. To the family, I mourn the loss of a family member. The damage can't be undone. But I hope that you have the people around you that you need to remember that you are not alone in this dark time.
