I have spent ~3 million SP in my Mass Driver to keep people like you QQing. Let me let you guys in a secret of how to combat a Mass Driver. Get above it or get far enough away that I won't be able to EASILY hit you. If you are in a group and you feel a round hit you. It should go through your THICK SKULL. TO GET OUT OF SAID GROUP. It is sad how many people I kill because they are next to 5 OTHER PEOPLE. |

Give the splash a proper fall off, so at 5m I get barely scratched from the damage. Of all the changes people have suggested for the MD, I think adding splash damage fall off is probably the best/most reasonable one I've heard. It is a little bit silly and counterintuitive that the damage is the same 1 inch away from the blast and 5 meters away from the blast. Unfortunately it seems like CCP might not have the technology to implement this kind of change at this time. But this is a change I could get behind.
My fully spec'd mass driver only has a blast radius of 3.88. Without that specing it's blast radius is only 3. The assault variants have a blast radius of 5, with 5.88 by my skills. The splash damage is really only extremely devastating when people clump up. |

News flash. Only the mass drivers that don't know what they are doing spam at a 5m - 35m range. If they are that close it is much more beneficial to aim. |
