Is there some secret to it that I've missed through half of Chromosome? Throughout all the time I was a heavy on Chromosome, which was a big chunk of it, not a single time was I ever able to score a hit with a forge while moving. This included LAVs 10ft away from me, trying to avoid getting hit and trying to score hits myself.
Is there some secret I missed? |

they took out the deviation of the forge gun projectile in uprising witch was the only thing keeping it balanced. |

I've only been tanking since Uprising. During Chromosome, I was a heavy and tanker. I said I was never able to hit anything during Chromosome. The number of times I've actually used my current militia forge gun has been very little. The number of times I've used ADV forge guns during Chromosome is... a lot.
There's no "git gud scrub" to say to me. Due to the higher cost of SP, I chose one path to take, and that was tanking. There's no efficient way for me to use at least ADV forge guns without at least 8mil more SP solely dedicated to dropsuit upgrades and command, and forge gun operation and its requisite skills.

i have adv forge and hmg and suit and modules, all for under 2mil sp..... |

Depends on which forge gun you're using. If its an assault version, I can't help you. You just have to practice and get the charge timing down. If it's the regular, try strafing to get on target, instead of aiming. |

For one the dirrect-hit-zero-damage bug seems gone. Along with special deviation while standing-up whereas you could fire and the shot exit the muzzle and then just magically disappear or fly off at an impossible angle.
Weapon shake still does its job. Even crouched with a target confirmed long range shots are a hit or miss proposition.
Looks like the old joke about forcing fatties to squat for heavy weapons to hit anything is over. |

Well i suppose it depends on your defintion of "efficient"

adv forge
adv hmg
adv sub mg
amour upG lvl 3
amour repair lvl 3
amour plate lvl 1
ds core upG lvl 1
ds electronics lvl 1
ds shield upG lvl 2
explosives lvl 1
grenader lvl 1
handheld weapons up G lvl 3
sure, basic as hell fit, but you can get over 1000hp's on that, i dont use the plates and prefer reppers and i got a 3.55 kdr with it, popping infantry and vehicals
i would say its pretty "efficient" and a **** ton cheaper than 8mil sp
