Then it makes sense, it's a support vehicle, with sensors and repairs available as well as Troop Transport. I'm pretty sure that's what the MAV is for, as I'm sure there will be a LMAV variant for that as well. All LAVs, including the LLAV, should be very fragile. Of course the LLAV should have slightly higher health/resist than the others, but right now it's just dumb. High health + high resist = bad.
Well thats what I mean, when the MAV comes along it needs the Logistic variant, but then the LLAV will become obsolete, why bother with it? If the LAV is meant to be a vehicle for assaulting but very weak, there shouldn't be a logistics variant. |

The ability to lock on to multiple targets would be great. |

The LMAV would be for supporting a single tank or squad, while the LLAV could easier support in different areas since it can get around fairly quickly. It's just what you prefer or need in a given situation.
I'm just saying the LLAV is not for sitting still behind something for ages. If there's AV up ahead it should be used as a short time support tool and then it should get out of there before it's killed. If there's no AV around, it can sit still behind something supporting, but only if there's no AV.
Edit: But we still need better support tools of course. Right now the LLAV can't really do any support at all |

If people actually start using the LLAVs to rep teammates, they'll become the top priority target for the entire opposing team. They could probably use a little eHP nerf, but if you make them much easier to kill AND make one of the fixes this thread is proposing, they'd just be useless/wastes of ISK in a different way.
On the main topic, I'd much prefer an activated bubble. Driving and activating modules is enough...even if you incrementally improve the activate->lock-on to x targets->activate process, it's still a big, multistep process, and that doesn't work well in a fast-paced game like an FPS...particularly when you need to be able to switch your focus from the repping task back to the 'running away from AV' task at a moment's notice. |

Ive been using my LLAV to do logi things
Locking onto moving infantry, well, even stood still ones takes to long and is a pita, I agree, some kinda hive bubble would be much better
Also would be sweet to drive around dishing out ammo, or even have some kind of dropsuit swapout thing (like supply depot) as depots always getting blown up
Not really having a issue locking onto tanks, and you can distance yourself quite far from tanks while healingh to avoid running into each other, bubble would have to be "big" to get the same distance
Do we not get guardian points? i swear i've got some healing tanks..... (could be trippin tho)

I'd keep the lock on for vehicles, it works pretty well considering you only need to lock on once and they're quite large, but Infantry you can multiple lock on and they're small guys, takes forever to get your squad ready to move.
Supply Depot Module would be awesome, maybe if you had a limited amount of nanites for Ammo replenishment? Would balance it out nicely for the extra WP coming in.
We don't get guardian points as shield reppers, but I've been told that if you're repping armor you get points (Don't know if thats the Infantry Rep or Vehicle Rep, forgot to ask Popa) |

Yeah, i find the infantry lock on horrid, and more trouble than its worth at the moment
Regarding war points, im like 95% sure i got guardian with my shield repper on one of tanks, maybe it was a amour tank , if they the only tank out, i will buff there shields for them

yeh the bubble would actually make more sense. CCP should just make a bigger nanhive effect on that LAV when the module gets active. It works with triage nanohives so why shouldnt that work out? But yeah i agree with jason pearson keep the lock on feature for the vehicle to vehicle repairs. make the bubble effect on vehicle to infantry. |
