I'lll give you guys a revelation here.
Heavies get raped in PC.
Scouts get raped in PC.
"True Logis" get raped in PC (and even in pubs).
Grenade spam doesn't work in PC. Real players avoid nades easily.
PC was about Duvolles, fused nades, flaylocks, and uplinks.
Other weapons ocassionally came into play like a thales covering objectives, or mass drivers when giant city standoffs came into play. But the vast majority is all about the AR & uplinks.
Killing people and uplinks for people killed. Thats what the best of the best comes down to.
But hey I don't care, you guys who cry for nerfs on everything have already ruined it. Idgaf, I'll just let the garbage play this garbage game.
OK, fine, you have established you are better than us. Awesome; I tremble at the size of your e-peen. Whatever. Your disorganized rant about PC and an apparent threat to ragequit at the end doesn't really change the debate much, just confirms what the other posters already think about you.
I play what a lot of people might consider "true" assault logi: I don't run reppers or needles much, I kill my fair share of people but most of my points come from my uplinks and to a lesser extent, nanohives. I definitely do not get "raped" in pub or FW matches; I probably would in PC but that's because I don't have proto suits yet, not because of some universal law that says someone who plays differently than you do always will.
You still have not answered the fundamental question. If you don't preferentially want to use any equipment, why did you spec into logi in the first place? That's really the only question here, everything else is just details:
If you know ahead of time you only want to drop uplinks and shoot people, why would you not use a suit designed for that, i.e., any assault suit or the amarr logi?
If you are even going to pretend for a second that you are even an assault "logi" (as opposed to pure assault), why are you using two damage mods?
(I could fill in the blanks for you but everyone else pretty much knows where I'm going with this)
Why should any suit be able to do everything without making compromises? Do whatever the hell you want to do with your suit, I could care less, but you have to expect to make some choices you might not like, that's the nature of this game.
Example: I wanted to run amarr logi because it makes sense for the way I play, but... it was broken. So, I went to ADV caldari logi in the meantime so I could run a decent fit. Why not proto? Because it was obvious from the day that the stats were first posted that the suit would be nerfed. If anyone who actually looks at the forums didn't see that one coming, they simply weren't paying attention or were delusional enough to think that they were just that awesome and the suit had no advantages over the rest.
Know what I did after the update to make my callogi fit work? I took out a reactive plate and put a CPU module there instead. That's it. And, I still managed to kill some people. Amazing. Personally I think tanking is (generally) more useful than using damage mods unless I'm sniping, so I don't use them a whole lot in my other suits, but that's just me. Would I like to be able to put a duvolle and high-level grenades in there along with proto links and hives? Yes. Should I expect that I can, and just do everything all at once with no thought or compromise? No, because that's called easy mode and shouldn't exist. So, I use standard flux grenades and a GEK. Still works. Rant all you want about how you are the only transcendent person who knows anything because "I am so l33t, your point is invalid". That's actually not going to change anyone's mind, believe it or not. |
