Seeing as how soo many are against respecs, made me wonder what people have done with their SP to make them so happy in the suit their in. I can see why people want respecs, but I also wonder what they would do with all that refunded SP :/ |

I have proto'd the Galentte Logi suit, and now am working my way up the Minmatar Assault suit, then I will return the suit that I started Uprising with, the Amarr Logi.
If I got a respec, I think that I would switch my Proto Logi to either Minmatar or Amarr, and ,maybe try and proto more of my modules. |

Proto AR, proto Cal-Logi, proto shields, proto Swarm Launcher, lvl4 on nanos and drops, getting most core to lvl3 or 4 at the moment and saving some reserve for when 1.4 comes out.
Only thing I really regret is specing Plasma Cannon level 1. What a waste |

I've wasted(?) my 13.5 Mil on Proto Heavy Frames, Complex Armor Modules, Max Shield/Armor/Fitting skills, Forge Guns(w/ Level 4 Proficiency), HMGs(w/ Level 4 Proficiency), Swarm Launchers(w/ Level 4 Proficiency), Prototype AV Grenades, and ADV Amarr Standard Frames. And of course, a smattering of random crap here and there in random skills.
All in all, I've gone out of my way to pick the crappiest frame, the poorest tanking method, the worst CQC weapon(HMG), and balls to the walls AV(Because never not f**k tanks).

A lot of what people are saying on this forum is truth- i'd like to point some out
1.) core skills- chances you will end up running freesuits ALOT so go for the passive bonus over the active. - what are core skills ? those are the ones that stim directly off drop suit upgrades- So, shields, armor, biotics etc. Skill them to 4 or 5. Unless your a veteran player or you come from EVE and your familiar about specialization , customization. Then you can just tank :-)
2.) do not be glamoured by really fancy modules and the promise that a new gun or better gun or equipement is going to make your suit better - i.e do not skill for modules skill for perks and bonus- An example is the AR- do not skill the AR for the access to the glu - skill into the AR for the kick reduction - kick reduction is going to be far more beneficial than the any AR you can unlock
3.) as an exception to this rule- there is one GAME CHANGING MODULE THAT YOU SHOULD UNLOCK AT ONCE! COMPLEX SHIELD EXTENDERS- this module will single handedly change your game play-
4.) as another exception and a fellow duster has pointed out. GO proficient in a weapon ( this is a skill ) - My advice is the AR- -AR will always be king supreme of any FPS and in DUST
5.) Skill into vehicles last- dust is at a time where there is just to much AV- and the points required to be a good tanker are just too many- do not be fulled into thinking that ( its just 24 k of skill points ) thats a whole day of passive SP - if your saving for a proto suit one day shaved off is a god send
6.) spend wisely - dust is not forgiving to those that waste skill points
7.) Skill today how you will play tomorrow( next year preferably ) : ask a caldari logi the importance of skilling for the future
As for me- I have 12.2 million total-
My most notoable skill ups are - Assult G-1, Logistics Gk0 , AR with pro 3 , nanohives 5, rep tools 4, extenders 5, and all core skills 3 and 4 - and amarr logi std-
I spent two million in dropships- WASTE but i wouldnt take a resepect unless CCP made me |

Approaching 8 million, ADV MinLogi and ADV Basic Heavy for suits.
Weapons: Forge Proficency III, Scrambler Pistol Proficiency I, Handheld Weaponry V, Grenades I.
Cores: Shield/Armor Upgrades III, Biotics V, Cardiac III, Kinetic III, Core Upgrade IV, Electronics/Engineering III, Systems Hacking III.
Equipment: Nanocircuitry III, Active Scanners III, Drop Uplinks II, Remote Repair I.
Modules: Shield Extenders I, Armor Plates I, Reppers I.
Gonna be a while 'til tanking ability gets investment. On a FG Heavy at least it doesn't matter, all high slots receive Complex Damage Boosters anyway. Logi is an anemic 343hp however, with no light weapon skilled up to boot. Uses a pistol.
Forge Gun fit I am very happy with, it's the Logi which leaves massive room for improvement. Needs modules maxing out, proto hives and the two extra levels of engineering just to fit these. Possibly also a light weapon though I'm tempted to just stick with the ScP.
God knows when a proto Logi suit is happening. After about 5 mil more SP has gone into cores, tanking and equipment I might start considering it. Heading straight for it would leave me unable to properly tap it's potential.
Distant pipe dream for when that's all done is a Minmatar Assault pistoleer, dual Scramblers... the real question there is if the magazine bonus is calculated as (6*1.25)+5=12.5 or if it's (6+5)*1.25=13.75 due to the Scrambler Operation bonus. Depending on how it's rounded you could end up with anywhere between a 12 shot Scrambler or a 14 round one. Confirmation on this score would be much appreciated. |

About 6-7m purely on Gallente Vehicles and gaining access to the Prometheus, Limbus, Madrugar, and the Incubus with vehicle related skills (Armor Plating V, Core Upgrades V, Turret Upgrades / Unlocks, etc). Sitting on about 2m SP while waiting for the release of the Pilot suit and inevitable spec into Light Dropsuits.
All and all I feel pretty "complete" on the Vehicle side of things and don't really have any incentive to go the Caldari side. |

I pretty much just run a dren logi suit and dren shotty w/all bp mods tho.... but with my core skills to 5 and almost maxed shotty skills I can compete against protos and adv fits pretty efficiently... only thing on my suit that costs money are REs... my suit is 8k
if you spend your sp on core skills first before suits you don't have much to complain about... most of the respec QQers thought the suit was more important than the mods and the core skills... they made poor choices...

I do not want a respec. I have over 3 million sp wasted in stuff that is going to get nerfed. I don't feel like I am at a disadvantage. I feel like others like me want a respect because.... 1. they suck without the crutch 2. people are selfish and care more about themselves than the actual success of the game and fail to see the big picture.
If I get a respec, I will become even more overpowered than I was before. 16 million skill points into whatever I want. None of it has to be waste like it is now. I wasted mine because I was bored and wanted to try new things. A real man lives by the consequences of his choices. I will live with mine. |

but maxxing shield extenders is not a must
being gallente i'd spec armor and reppers to lvl5 being the ferroscale give almost the same hp as extenders
without a penalty, you can also stack one basic plate with a ferroscale without much penalty in speed
also the AR is an all around weapon and spec'd out you will not go wrong
but the overlooked SMG's IMO are also a great go to weapon to spec out
they work awesome on logi's trust me
but I still wouldn't pass up specing out the AR to lvl3 for the GEK
and then throw sharpshooter 5 on it
