Its called PC, we cant afford to not have at least 10mil SP into a fitting well designed & effective or you'd get owned in PC, the skill core upgrades is an SP sink past level 2, and CPU & PG only needs level 3, and after that is an SP sink. As for the equipment that falls under core upgrades, uplinks and nanohives are the only ones worth a damn, and mostly just uplinks. |

getting cpu & pg from levels 3-5 requires 1.2mil each, just for the last 2 levels, thats a whole 'nother racial proto suit if you choose so.
The only time you'd need to put SP into all that would be to maximise CPU or PG because you either dont want to use any low slots for cpu or pg extenders at all, or you want to use only very few slots for them, and need the complex extenders rather than enhanced.
There are smart ways to spend your SP to get the most of out of it. Its a bit like taking a single weapons extra skills to level 5, ya sure you may get increased 6% damage from proficiency 4&5, but that will cost you more SP for those 2 levels than getting an entire other weapon from operation 1 up to proficiency 3.
Gigantic SP sinks that give you a slight advantage, and the only time those are useful are for highly specialised builds.
And in this game with s*** getting nerfed left & right you do NOT want to be that specialised. |
