Myself and a fellow Tanker were rolling through an Ashland ambush match, come across an enemy Sica. My tank has around 7100 Shields no booster, fellow tanker was using a heavy transporter on me at the time also.
Engaged a Sica tank, forge gunner got the kill shot just as I rammed into it, I didn't stop and so I carried on rolling over it, a second later I lost all my shields and armor (despite having a heavy converse transporter on me), I ended up burning on 0 armor with around 1500 shields already restored. Seems to me like a collision bug with the vehicles. |

Nothing new here. Shields and shield tanks in particular have had massive collision detection issues that have always gotten worse. They were supposed to be addressed but I was unable to find a post where that was stated.
For those running Armor it is different. However when one has ~2000 shields (I use it as a 'hey somebody shot me flag') and they disappear when going over medium terrain something is not right. If shields are that weak then what is their reason to exist?
Bump into a corner at nearly 0kph, results in massive shield loss as it seems to drop a percentage not a determine amount. The more shields you have the worse the drop. Driving over dead vehicles, off cliffs the height of a Merc, bumping into another shield tank and many situations where the drop seems silly makes us wonder what the actual design goal was?

yeah theres something fishy going on with wreckage, I got basically insta gibed by bolas wreckage a fair few seconds after it had disappeared, another tank was near me at the time he may have hit me before it happened and he ended up reversing out on fire after being at full health.
Ever seen when a vehicle being brought in by bolas sometimes goes berserk getting spun and thrown around like its in a tornado? I wonder if something like that is going on with invisible wreckage. |
