Dust was meant to get console players to get into the EVE universe. Not so EVE players could have a shooter to play in-universe. Dust is supposed to draw people into EVE, not the other way around.
How's that going to happen if CCP ditches consoles and goes to PC? Regardless of their original intentions ... It's clear this game is not doing well on the PS3. They have thrown **** at the wall and expect people to eat it. Of course it didn't do well.
It would have the same reaction on a PC. EVE never had competition, aside from a few games that never came out of beta, so the argument that PC players won't ditch it is invalid. |

Is there a lot of hacking in eve?
I've not really heard of it being a problem.
If CCP can develop eve to not suffer constant hacking issues.. Why couldn't they develop dust to do the same?
Genuine question, I don't know anything about game development. Free to play FPS game.... MMO subscription game. BIG difference. Is it really though? What's the difference? Nobody wants to lose money. If you hack a F2P game, you just open another account, nothing lost. If you hack a sub game, you will lose everything you paid. |

Is this game not doing well because of the ps3? It is well known that the ps3 is a pita to code for... Not to mention the ram is laughable. Also... Equipment and active modules would be about 100x better if you could use 1GÇô2-3-4 instead of the horrible equipment wheel we have now. Horrible? After 1.2 switching is easy and quick.
PS3 is a pita to code for yes, but you can pull it off, plenty of games that show that. I would say the choice of engine was bad, unreal engine 3 is known to require heavy modifications to work well on a PS3. |

So a one time account activation fee, combined with the SP system could solve most hacking problems on its own? Yes, most. Not all however, and it's much easier to do on a PC. Some people are just rich fucks who don't care. |
