I've never played a PC match before. Can you experienced logis out there give me a do's and don't's list?
I've heard that reppers/needles have no place in PC. Just speed uplinks and nanohives. Truth?
I use the soon to be nerfed proto Cal Logi. |

The current trend is spamming uplinks and nanohives. I always bring my proto needles and reppers too, I just don't use them as much. It's all about your situational awareness. A dedicated Logi that can't defend or kill is almost useless in PC. Only rep and revive after and between engagements. Hopefully once the real Logi bonuses are implemented, we'll have our niche carved out in PC. Also, you're not getting nerfed too bad. Throw a CPU upgrade on your suit and you're back to normal. |

Most proper logis either sit on point defense, keeping hives, defensive support fire, and reps on everyone; or speed-tank the map throwing 7+ uplinks EVERYWHERE while fluxing enemy links themselves.
Very useful and necessary team elements though we usually rank at the bottom or see very little action ourselves. |

Generally speaking (and your squad composition as well as the directives of your GC may alter this) you'll want two primary fits.
1. Fast first deploy, links, hives, speed, codebreaker.
2. Repper, needle, RE/Uplink/Hive (the last is dependent on playstyle, squad and number of equip slots on your logi)
First suit is for getting a foothold and is generally expected to die (trade out at a depot if you can). Second suit is for sticking with your squad, moving and fortifying positions. The second suit will be used more often/more of the battle than the first.
Beyond that having several other fits can be highly valuable for adaptation but depends heavily on who's in your squad and what objectives your squad has been assigned to carry out (objectives in the sense of actions/tasks not in the sense of null cannons exclusively).
I hope that's helpful
Cheers, Cross
ps ~ whatever you run make it Proto, your the logi support, give them the best support you can field. |
