We are 138 wrote:thats good to hear but your guy's soon is 3-4 months away. the game is stale RIGHT NOW and for the 3 months. I support this game a lot and play all the time, but we need some new content bro. you guys need to hire more help or outsource some of this stuff I don't think you guys can do this all on the fly fast enough... at least for my impatient ass
That is NOT going to happen. CCP have already cut positions and reshuffled their staff as it is. ("World of Darkness" team for instance.)
Also, Dust 514 earns profit only on micro-transactions. It is quite easy to play this game as a new comer or verteran and never spend a dime on it. Whereas constant updates to EvE keeps their fanbase happy and plunking more quarters down for the monthly subscription. And judging by the number of players in the Dust-verse (2 to 4 thousand at any given time - of which CCP tries to disguise by lumping the number of EvE players in on Tranquility), the game isn't exactly the next GTA. |

Alucard Fang wrote:These maps take 2-3 months to make. Dust doesn't have tons of Devs you know? Compared to other games. Bunch on whiners. This is true, but if you want this product to succeed in today's market, you need more than the paltry number of maps the game currently has. Players get bored and leave, If CCP is lucky, maybe they've spent a few bucks on micro transactions before they do. If they are not lucky, those disappointed players warn their friends to stay away from the game, negative feedback spreads, and the game will eventually be shut down for lack of turning an acceptable profit.
You can call people with such criticisms of the game "whiners" all you want - and maybe to a degree they are - but they make an important point that you are rather blind to. |

What is the main difference between a "map" and a "battlefield"?
Please tell me there is more to it than just "A map is a really large area and battlefields are chunks of that area cordoned off by different borders in which you play in.' |
