Assault rifles are awful. I played PC yesterday and every single player from Outer Heaven was spamming mass drivers and flaylocks or camping on roofs whilst doing so. If assault rifles were so good every player would use them religiously instead they flock to the unbalanced, over-powered FOTM weapon.
- They used the incredible advantage that is a height advantage plus weapons with splash damage. Still don't know what you're complaining about. You figure it out.
The game needs some major weapons re-balancing, I know I've named a lot of weapons here and somebody will come to their defense but I don't care, there are far too many one-hit-kill weapons in this game (used against infantry) which make assault rifles the least of your worries.
Because, as was mentioned a while ago, 95% of the playerbase was using only one flavor of AR, the Tac AR. If when in a match, you get killed by an AR, and 9 times out of 10 it's the GLU or Duvolle TAR, then there's a problem. If people are running around with dual flaylocks because a sidearm is better than the mass driver, there's a problem. When your suit with 670 shield (remember kids, energy weapons are very effective against shields) loses out to a militia forge that does 1200 base damage, then it's working as intended.
Now that I basically made your thread useless, having my way with every argument you made, what do you have to say?
