No ringing for Indy corps, no more cafe speed plains running eon. Ringers in matches vs Latino killers corp and the like. This must stop people.
And if you can't abide the higher law (absolute last resort)
than ringers must be an alt with less sp or the ringer must only field advanced Suits. If they use an alt they won't have as much sp, if they field advanced on their main, they will have to use superior skill vs these Indy corps.

That's what I'd like. But since the number of vets grows slim and areole likely to visit the forums I figured its easier to petition them than to ask all the indie corps to not use big OP ringers in indie fights trying to get GUD so we can one day give the vets a challenge. We're here, we just need you to stop discouraging us with Rolf stomps where we get redlined and killed over and over again each time someone attacks. I get people want merging to be all big but this is a more pressing problem.
So when Neanderthal nation gets attacked, no bringing huge massive sp players like Cody kole or Marston, or make them bring alts or advanced suits only, it's a worthy idea. |

We advise our players not to ring for attacks on indie corps. Defenses against attacks from Established Corps are 100% legit and defenses against attacks from other indies is a judgment call. We aren't going to tell one of our players that they can't help their friend or makes some loot.
That being said, CSP is in EoN. proper and I ALWAYS see LKC in LAVs. Only tactic that I like less than mass core flaylock is LAV spam bullfighting-bull****. I find no issue in someone stomping that tactic out of PC. |

Up to the individual corp tbh, if they wanna ring from vet corps against other indies, shows they don't have much faith in themselves and will probably just go nowhere.

Read the post. No one is asking you not to ring for a friend. Comment on the merits of the OP.
If you justify the current behaviors by saying oh we try but it's their call them your apathy will contribute to the death of the game and the death of any future competition. |

I guess I didn't directly respond to your OP. It was more of a side statement of what most corps already have in place right now. But to respond directly to it... If that is what you came up with for a solution, then no.

I'm not troll bait Reg. No one is saying don't ring, just saying if you ring for an indie ring in advanced and prove it's skill you bring not 20 mil sp.

You asked me to read and respond to the original post. I did. You asked for a yay or nay. I gave you a no. You ever wonder where all those indie corp districts came from? Teamplayers asks its members not to ring in attacks against indie corps. We ask our alliance to not attack indie corps. That is pretty much the end of it. They are necessary for the health of the game and deserve some sort of protection. But this "advance gear" nonsense.... |

This is going to be ranty, and a lot of people are going to completely disagree, but ... no, I do not support. I'm not a guy that would get called in to ring anyway, but just on principle... it's bullshit. Stomp the living **** out of them until they stop attacking or come back with improved tactics and forces. If *that* makes them quit the game, then it's them or the game that needs to be fixed, not some community vet agreement.
A bit tangential to the topic...
I mean I barely support the community's babysitting of smaller corps. In New Eden they're called "renters" and they should be paying 20% of their income for ... protection, or grow a pair and l2play. No one "deserves" districts... seriously.
OP's post is just one more part of the welfare state mentality around here which is based on a deep-seated fear "OMG, this game might die, how can we save it?" which is honestly something the devs should be concerned with. We should be concerned with playing the game. I'm just the guy who pew pews and bitches on the forums. But I've said before the community viewpoint on "making ISK = baaaad... farmville! farmville!" is... weird... and reflects a pure FPSer viewpoint. Things like PFC are an effort to turn it into a lobby shooter and dilutes the "OMG Kewl long-term warfare!" aspects that I think a lot of people are drawn to.
All of these noob-friendly PC initiatives by the community, while admirable and well-intentioned and supported by most vets, are an artificial prop ineffectually holding up the hopes and dreams of, and having a marginally positive effect on, **a few hundred** younger players that happen to be in these 'small corps'.
I think full blown ruthless Machiavellian **** (i.e. WIN) is the only thing that might result in additional changes in mechanics and cause CCP Foxfour to say "wow... what is broken? how can we fix it?" which is the only thing that is going to open PC up to a broader audience. Ironically, I think he should be saying the same damn thing NOW: "Why don't people want to conquer more stuff? How can we fix that?"
Instant battles are for random good fights, and the missing mechanic of 16-man team FW/Instant-Battle queuing is the true issue that is causing the community to compensate in the search for gud fites. Conquest is the name of the game in PC, and the ironically broken part is that no one actually wants to conquer anything, NOT that noobs get stomped. Fixing the "PC entry point for Noobs" is something that CCP needs to fix (6-man district campaigns anyone?), not the community. But I guess... noble effort.
But once such a team-queue instant battle system is in place, why be afraid of conquering the entire map? Cuz lol-bad name? Cuz lol-overlapping timers? Build an empire, be aggressive, **** the carebear ****. The problem is there is currently no game mechanic that rewards attacking over not attacking... I don't know... the lack of aggressive ghengis khan types in a game about conquest just meme:grindsmygears I guess.

I think PFC is enough catering to small Corps. It's a courtesy that you wouldn't see often in Eve, and should be appreciated. But having a rule of "no Vet ringers" sounds more like a whine than an idea. Small Corps still have every opportunity to hire their OWN Vets and compete.
Once CCP catch on with the PFC idea and expand on it to allow for easier Indie Corp integration we might be on to something. But let good Mercs earn the money they are worth. That's what we're here for in the end, isn't it? |

So...EoN, you give small corporations their own land to "promote small corporations playing in PC" but you some of you guys have no problem with ganging up against any small corporation that tries to attack those who you give the land to....
how does this help the smaller corps wanting to gain a foothold in PC?
sorry for singling you guys out but it seems to be you that are mainly posting 'no' to this. Yes you gave them the land but let them fight for it on their own, hopefully the larger alliances will leave them alone. To those who advise against the larger alliances participating in smaller corporation battles you have my gratitude.
personally i think its a good idea, let the smaller corps fight it out on their own, it will help them grow and will get more corporations participating in PC. |

We are working on it. We can't outright ban PC ringing. As fiddle said, we have set some ground rules we ask our players to obide, but it takes two tango.
If any small corp is getting ringers for their matches, they are missing the point entirely as well as squandering a good opportunity to grow.
You are stealing away a good experience from your members. Don't be afraid to lose a virtual piece of land by using your own members. You can always easily purchase another and or clone pack fight your way back in.
I will not ring for or against any indie corp, I have money and I don't need anymore
Please try to make your corp numbers self sufficient, so you do not require ringers.
We will never be able to stamp out it completely, I know one of my members has a friend from socom that has an indie corp, and I am not willing to tell my members, "You can not help your friends". So I am sure there will be cases like this, but do not expect TP en mass in any of these matches. Even if your opponent tells you the big bad TeamPlayers are protecting us, this is just not true. |

What do you mean no one cares about it, read the thread, quite a lot of players are thinking along the same lines, even if they don't use the forums. Also what does which corporation i am in dictate whether someone cares or not? Your reasoning is void. Betamax is far from being dead, we might not be as active in PC as you would like right now, but hold your horses. |

"higher law"? Have you not heard, we are mercenaries. Its not "ringing" here, its contracting ourselves out. We had 12 of our own guys and they had like 6 of theirs + 12 ringers. As a member of a true mercenary corp that has been given props in the past for being a true mercenary corp, you feel it is inappropriate to ask for compensation when asked to AWOX a fight?

Why can't he awox just for giggles? We only had 12 guys to their 16, who most likely have more PC experience than us. We did not know which map we were playing on but now we do so will be prepared for the next time. Still I was joking with him, I even put "j/k" at the end of the match. Don't need a crutch like they did with cal logi and flaylock |

Azura at this point I don't think it can be called a crutch, it has to be a remote controlled wheelchair with GPS. |

Just my opinion tho. Then again some Indie Corps don't plan on using PC as a taking ground
some of us use our corps for other purposes
for example I'm planning on getting a fight club running if someone attacks that sort of district without justification I'll try to get Teamplayers, SyNNers, Internal Error Members,Molon Labe members, Imperfects, Nyain San Members, Seraphims, or anyone else who can/will help |
