Can we ALL agree to use only tier 1 to advance suits and gear in standard AMBUSH? I'm asking all CORPS TO IMPLEMENT THIS AS A RULE TO ALL THEIR PLAYERS. We need to self implement this. Dust needs a larger player base and its no fun to get proto stomped when your a noob.

I hate seeing new people giving the game up so quickly because they are getting protostomped.

Like the thought, don't think others will comply. i can farm isk in pubs wearing full proto, CCP implemented this amazing feature i like to call "cover" alot of people dont understand what this is, but if im informed correctly, "cover" is basically solid objects that bullets and things cant shoot through. it works much better than shields/armor. great for farming isk

CCP knows this very very well too. In eve, originally there were no protections throughout the entire universe from griefers. This of course ensured incredibly slow game growth and cries of injustice from the general population. This came to a head with M0o camping high-sec for hours and hours on end, and CCP finally decided to do something about it. They implemented safer zones for newer players, protections for those players, and finally started to ban griefers who purposefully started to prey on newbs. I believe sooner or later they will remember these lessons from eve.

Of course we'd never get everybody to agree (most don't even read the forums), but if some major corporations would be on board, this would go a long way in making a difference. It still seems like a long shot, and depends heavily on the awesomeness of corporations in Dust.

Anyways, I already do this. It's pointless to run PROTO turrets on HAV's, and I can do just as good in my freefits as I can with my PROTO gear, so I'm in. Peace, Aizen

We take our proto suits and things of that nature into FW and make that the middle ground between insta-crap and PC.

Anyone already using proto suits in Pubs, won't be willing to handicap themselves so they can help with player retention. It's a shame and a little ironic because the handicap would actually make the game more fun to play for a lot of the "bitter vets" + other high SP characters. But the human condition won't allow these players to risk their K/D scores (or whatever else) There's the other possibility as well; that they find destroying newbs more satisfying than having a challenge Anyways if you want to have fun again, play academy with a new character and the only way to restrict suits is through CCP, not the player base. (as much as I would love the player base to get along, we won't) Just my opinion, for anyone that cares.
