I run advanced Cal Logi. I don't have more module slots than other races. That's Minmatar and Amarr advanced logi. I have 3 complex shield extenders getting bonused at 15%, so that's 30 hp. With Cal Logi 5 it would be 50 hp. With Electronics 3 and Core Upgrades 4 I'm able to fit two basic armor plates, advanced (Skill lvl 4) repair gun and nanohive, and basic injector, GEK, and basic grenades.
My shields are: 457 Recharge 20 Delay: 4 SD Delay: 6
Armor: 241 Armor Rep: 3 Movement penalty: 5.6%
With the CPU nerf I'll have 253 CPU (!!!) Without changing modules or weapons I'll need to make both advanced equipment basic.
Okaaaay, so I guess I'll have to use a CPU upgrade (drop 69 hp of armor). Since my recharge delay is (much) slower now and my bonus has changed I'll need to fit a shield regulator (drop 69 hp of armor). As for equipment, with Engineering 3 I can fit advanced nanohive and nanite injector and can upgrade to a Core Repair Tool if I have repair tool 5 and want to spend 13000 ISK...or I could use a BDR-8 Triage and upgrade grenades instead.
So let's compare this new Advanced Caldari Logi to other advanced logis. I won't mention their unique bonuses since they intend on changing those.
New Amarr - It's a bit slower for more hp and has 6 less PG (plenty), but it's got a sidearm, an extra low slot, and 20 more CPU. Nuff said. Minmatar - It's faster with a little less hp (wins that trade)....and has an extra low slot and 20 more CPU. No brainer.
That leaves Gallente. Okay lets compare Gallente advanced logi to the new Caldari advanced logi, both with Engineering and Electronics 3, and Core Upgrades 4, as well as Shield and Armor Upgrades to 3.
First Caldari - with GEK, M1 Locus, K-2 Nano, KIN-012 Injector, BDR-8 Triage, 3 CSE, one CPU, and one enhanced regulator:
Shields: 427 Recharge 20 Delay: 3.8 SD Delay: 6.1
Armor: 104 Armor Rep: 3 Movement penalty: 0%
Now Gallente - with GEK, M1 Locus, same equipment--except the nanohive is improved to X-3 Quantum--2 CSE, 2 Basic Armor Plates, and 1 Complex Armor Repairer:
Shields: 249 Recharge:15 Delay: 6 SD Delay: 8
Armor: 345 Armor Rep: 9.3 Movement penalty: 5.6%
So the Gallente has slightly better equipment, 63 more hp, worse shield recharge, better armor rep, and is slower. It also has the option of sacrificing shields for damage mods. It seems better to me but I'm not experienced with armor.
TL;DR Amarr and Minmatar Logistics are clearly superior to Caldari Logistics now at the advanced level, due to disparity in CPU and low slots, not to mention the sidearm and speed. The Gallente Logistics is now somewhat better than Caldari at advanced level, but also inferior to Amarr and Minmatar for the same reasons. This is a severe imbalance. Please let advanced Cal logi keep its CPU and please balance logistics dropsuits ASAP. |

Holy ****....it's a 28 CPU nerf at advanced. 40 at proto! WTF is the reason for this? I'm this close taking a long vacation from this game. I work hard to skill up my toon just to have it nerfed into the ground. Do they even playtest anything? New armor mods say NO. I put up with all the crap in this game...I stay when others leave...I want DUST to grow and become what it can be....and this is what I get. To hell with it. |

Explain how "every other" advanced logistics suit will have trouble fitting things with their +28-46 CPU over Caldari. Amarr and Minmatar have an extra slot for fitting mods. Gallente has 15-25% less fitting cost for equipment. WTF are you talking about? Or are you just trolling? |

I came to this same conclusion. The Caldari Advanced Logi is getting shafted due to this CPU nerf. I guess not a lot of people are paying attention to it; maybe there will be more of an outcry when people's fits are suddenly all red and now require two more levels in both Core Upgrades and Electronics to be usable again. |

Yes, now you need CPU upgrades. I can't run anything on my Minny advanced Logistics suit without one, either. You know the damning thing? These upgrades take a low slot. We need those low slots for armour modules. All Amarr, Minny and Gallente logistics suits don't match the Caldari base shields. So we need those armour modules to enhance our base dropsuit armour. These base shields for Caldari suits, which werent touched in the nerf btw, at advanced level, should be complemented by advanced extenders: so why are you using complex? Save that for prototype level: we logibros don't need so much HP.
If you're performing your role correctly and staying out of extended fights and direct fire, you'll of course be taking damage, but nothing your base shields can't handle alone. Which means, now, with your NEW PASSIVE (which every thread discussing how the CalLogi didn't deserve the nerf hasn't even mentioned) makes you even more effective in the supporting role. Combined with a regulator, the 15% bonus to shield recharge delay at cal logi skill level 3, combined with an advanced regulator, means suddenly your shields are up before anyone elses. Which means you can dive into combat briefly to help teammates, retreat, and come back out before a logi of another class has their armour back up, because our reps are beaten by your passive shield recharge in every way possible. |

I give two $hits what you were able to do with your Cal logi standard suit. We're talking about advanced. The advanced Cal logi doesn't have near the EHP of an advanced heavy. As for the rest of your hot air, this is a conversation about numbers, so back up what you're saying or how bout you STFU.
Minmatar and Amarr logi advanced are waaaaaay better than Cal logi advanced now. I'm not sure about Gallente due to armor's deficiencies, but I know it has a lot more CPU than Cal logi now and more PG. As for Minmatar and Amarr I beg you or anyone to differ. Come at me bro.
Observe:
Compare advanced Minmatar Logi with advanced Caldari logi. Both have Core Upgrades 4, Electronics 3, and Engineering 3, as well as Armor and Shield Upgrades 3 and Biotic Upgrades 3. Suit bonuses are at 15%
Caldari:
x3 Complex Shield Extender x1 Enhanced Shield Regulator x1 Enhanced CPU Upgrade
GEK AR Locus grenades BDR-8 Triage Repair Tool KIN-012 Nanite Injector K-2 Nanohive
Shields: 427 Recharge 20 Delay: 3.8 SD Delay: 6.1
Armor: 104 Armor Rep: 3
Movement: 4.7 Sprint: 6.8
Minmatar
x3 Complex Shield Extender x2 Basic Armor Plates x1 Enhanced CPU Upgrade
GEK AR M1 Locus Grenades Six Kin Triage Repair Tool KIN-012 Nanite Injector X-3 Quantum Nanohive
Shields: 322 Recharge 20 Delay: 6 SD Delay: 8
Armor: 310 Armor Rep: 3
Movement: 4.7 Sprint: 6.8
Hacking Speed: +15%
Behold...total imbalance. The Min logi has better grenades, better repair tool, better nanohive, a hacking bonus, and 206 more armor. It's only downside is that it has 105 less shields and its delays are 2 seconds longer. |

I will ask two things of you.
One, is to replace your shield regulators with enhanced armor plating.
See how that kinda evens your HP deficit?
That brings your deficit down to 20-30 HP.
Less then one AR bullet. Wil a single bullet make or break you in a fight?
"Oh, but my bonus!" Faq the bonus. The LLAVs probably have a buns to rep tool efficiency, do you think they use it? Probably not. The shield Reg is probably the most useless piece of gear in a firefight, as al it does is play with the recharge delay.
Two. Try to use advanced gear on advanced suits please. It will hep with your CPU deficit too.
Learn to fit like everyone else. Use basic equipment. The bonuses really are scaled crappily along the tiers, and in truth, if you have the time, it doesn't matter how much health you Rezz me with, or how fast you rep me. It that you are repping me. |

2 seconds is a lot of time.
In two seconds, since you've gone full HP for the Minny, we'll have repped, with the logistics-class passive bonus, 6 armour points.
As opposed to the Caldari, which now simply has to get out of danger for 4-6 seconds to begin regeneration at a base rate of 20hp/s. In AR combat, this is incredibly significant. A smart enemy will also use cover, and when they hide, your shields are regenerating two seconds before theirs, that's 40hp back before they begin regenerating, plus you also have the armour repair passive.
Furthermore, you don't have a movement speed penalty from plating, which means mobility. Strafing is easier, getting to cover is easier.
Of course, on the face of it, everything looks worse. But no one has actually tried it yet, in play, in practise. These threads are premature.

Welcome to the world of every other suit in the game lol Second the changes are just a place holder untill a full ballance pass can be done Edit: mmm nom nom nom Explain how "every other" advanced logistics suit will have trouble fitting things with their +28-46 CPU over Caldari. Amarr and Minmatar have an extra slot for fitting mods. Gallente has 15-25% less fitting cost for equipment. WTF are you talking about? Or are you just trolling? My CalSalt cant fit Full Proto gear, and so can't any other suitI Laugh at your Feeble attempt to Save your Easy Fit Suit. Instead of putting 3+ Million SPs into AR skills, try to get them Fitting Skills. I Had a CalSalt Fit that didn't have enough PG and CPU to work, so I just ran my Starter Fits until I had enough SPs to level the Fitting Skills so I can Run it. Same thing with my Sica. Same Thing with My Militia Derpship that I forgot the Name of. My STD CalLogi was the Only Suit I had that I was able to fit Perfectly. With ADV GearSTFU and HTFU, and figure out how your Fits are going to work. Sorry, you cant run a Suit with the EHP of a Heavy. So Sorry. Try to fit some STD, or ADV Mods. I Hear those exist. I Apologize for those Butthurt by my post, exempt the OP. Observe: Compare advanced Minmatar Logi with advanced Caldari logi. Both have Core Upgrades 4, Electronics 3, and Engineering 3, as well as Armor and Shield Upgrades 3 and Biotic Upgrades 3. Suit bonuses are at 15% Caldari: x3 Complex Shield Extender x1 Enhanced Shield Regulator x1 Enhanced CPU Upgrade GEK AR Locus grenades BDR-8 Triage Repair Tool KIN-012 Nanite Injector K-2 Nanohive Shields: 427 Recharge 20 Delay: 3.8 SD Delay: 6.1 Armor: 104 Armor Rep: 3 Movement: 4.7 Sprint: 6.8
Minmatar x3 Complex Shield Extender x2 Basic Armor Plates x1 Enhanced CPU Upgrade GEK AR M1 Locus Grenades Six Kin Triage Repair Tool KIN-012 Nanite Injector X-3 Quantum Nanohive Shields: 322 Recharge 20 Delay: 6 SD Delay: 8 Armor: 310 Armor Rep: 3 Movement: 4.7 Sprint: 6.8 Hacking Speed: +15% Behold...total imbalance.
Quality of equipment matters bro. Replace the Min's equipment with lower stuff and you can have better mods. I just emphasized equipment. The armor would bring HP closer to even but reduce Cal logi's delays and speed. With him being all shields he needs those 2 seconds. Next.

If you think the advanced Cal Logi is balanced after the nerf, then try making fits for yourself. It'll quickly become clear that the Cal Logi is now the weakest advanced logi in terms of potential tank and potential equipment, and requires an undue amount of fitting skills OVER other suits to run the same gear with equitable tank.
The shield regulator bonus is worthless. If you are not dual tanking an advanced Cal Logi after the nerf, you are a dead logi. |

all u cal logis need to stop whining that you are no longer a mega shield tank. this is a step in the right direction to get the logi to the support role that it was meant for. This class is not meant to be the frontline soldier that people are currently using it for. |
