Or is the "matchmaking" getting weird?
3 or 4 battles in a row with almost the exact same people on both sides- every single time was a protostomp. Is it just because it's a monday, or what? |

I had an attempt to find an ambush turn up as "no matches found". That said I did tend to keep running into the same names in the matches I was in. |

Most likely because all those players are queuing at the same time as soon as they get out.
I remember I was queuing with a full squad of my corporates and Alldin Kahn ended up on our team like 3 or 4 games in a row. We already pubstomp hard enough as it is, so needless to say it was a duck hunt for red berries every single game. Matchmaking definitely needs work. |

Was some interesting battles match after match. A full squad and we ha some randoms. I was working on trying out some new weapons but going against outer heaven started give us a challenge. Was fun |

Lowish player pool divided by region, divided by game mode. Probably also shunts people all applying to the same match type simultaneously into the same game. Squads of 6 always get onto the same teams together so in an active circulation of 64 players with said squad being responsible for protostomp...
50% chance of not being in same match. 32% chance of being pitted against them. 18% chance of being alongside them.
So assuming a one-sided protostomp from each round with them in it's almost a 1 in 3 chance of being stomped.
Simplistic but gives you the rough idea. 64 probably isn't too far off the mark for the circulated player pool in many instances. That's entirely anecdotal however, rooted in passing observations, not study. |
