While it is relatively easy to use, it doesn't get all the credit it deserves.
The lock-on time means you have to be careful when you try to shoot, so you don't die.
You also have to be able to predict the swarm's path and the vehicle's movement, then compensate for it.
Lastly, the angle you fire at is also important. Once I locked on an HAV through a small gap- I knew the swarms would all hit the wall if I fired normally. Instead, I fired roughly parallel to the wall- with that angle, the swarms flew out past the wall, and curved back to the other side and hit the HAV when the homing kicked in. |

As far as invisible swarms, I don't know what tankers are talking about. I always see swarms before they hit me, unless they're coming from behind me or something, in which case I hear them anyway. |

Answer: False, none of what you speak of is the truth. Point, lock, shoot = easy mode
If you just point-lock-shoot, all your missiles are going to hit walls and boxes unless the tanker is stupid enough to drive where no cover is in sight. |
