The title says it all. Grenades that we cook but die before we can throw the grenade should explode in our hand and kill all nearby enemies (would also create suicide bombers in DUST 514). |

I support this, even if it has a lower blast radius to compensate your body covering it.
EDIT: I mention the latter as a deterrent to suicide bombers. Also I think if goes without saying but if you happen to be cooking a 'nade upon death you can not be revived. |

I disagree with this request.
1. Suicide bombers are a horrible thing to my eyes.
2. Everytime "player" get engaged in CQC and thinks he's losing the gunfight, he will cook a grenade and possibly get a free kill... Not cool.
3. This will particularly punish CQC scouts. They are underpowered already.
4. One reason I like this game is because there aren't BS like "Martyrdom", "Revenge" and "I can't kill anyone so I just run around with a grenade in my hand". |

Perhaps award kills with only 25 WP, similar to an Assist. As this will further deterrent users to suicide bomb run.
I just feel it should be a feature, I like to feel this game is somewhat 'realistic' in the fact that everything you do has a reaction. I prime my Grenade start cooking then I'm killed, but rather than get a reaction my Grenade is sucked deep into my ass? No.
One of the tag lines to this game is everything thing has a consequence. |

I don't care what CCP does with Dust as long as stupid tactics (like suicide bombing) will be futile. |

1. While not the most honorable thing, it is still a viable strategy.
2. However, while cooking the grenade, they cannot fight back and they would have to time it well to catch anyone after people learn to not do a victory pose over every dead body.
3. As I said, unless they are able to time it well, most people should be able to get out of the blast radius, especially us scouts. Heavies might have a harder time though. Shotgun and nova knife scouts should easily recognize the suicide bomb strategy and switch to a back-up plan.
4. Which are all facets of humans... Also, just running around with a grenade while swapping weapons to cancel the countdown won't be an effective strategy.
Not to mention that suicide bombing is already available thanks to REs. |

Yeah while I see the counterpoint of suicide bombers I have to agree with this comment. As with a real grenade, if you activate one and get killed it would drop and still explode. |

It sounds nice, but it would just be far too frustrating. i propose some lore:
The locus grenade has a built in fail safe to reduce the risk of friendly clone loss. Upon GÇ£pulling the pinGÇ¥ the grenade synchronises with the vital signs of the user. Upon clone termination, and subsequent loss of bioelectric signals however, the grenade no longer has sufficient power to arm the micro fusion charge required for detonation.

That sounds like a pretty clever explanation for the current mechanics
There is an animation that's shows you cooking a grenade.
suicide bombers would always die when facing an enemy making it harder for the entire team to win (because clone count would drop quicker for that team) that has suicidal players and thus harder to get more ISK (losing side gets less ISK already)
it would be very easy to get away from the suicide bomber except for heavies, the only people suicide bombing would usually be players in free suits so they would be alot weaker to start with, and cooking a grenade and throwing it to prevent yourself being killed would be more likely to happen anyway.
