Personally, this is horrible. I hope CCP has enough intelligence and foresight to leave this alone until they can do a real balance pass in 1.4. |

Yeah, it's not some thing anyone should have to hear after CCP has changed something.
However it is exactly what everyone is saying to the people asking for the ability to adapt to the changes through a reallocation of their skill points. |

I wonder if vehicles even have a place in 16v16 matches. To be honest... the only thing that should be able to kill a tank is another tank or 4ish players with similar levels of AV (ie std vs std).
However you can't dedicate a quarter of your team to AV on a single tank.. that makes no sense.
So you either have a tank that takes 3-4 people to operate so that 4 people being required to take it down is balanced, or you have tanks that require 1 person to operate and 1 person can shut it down (like it is right now).
In a 32v32 match.. the game changes drastically... allowing for more specialization.. almost guaranteed presence of vehicles on both ends and AV specialists have a place.
This is why this game is failing imho.. put it on the PC/PS4 with 32v32 lobbies and some nice large maps... and you can start to really balance vehicles vs. infantry. |

If we put tanks in 32v32 matches as they are, people will stop using them because now it will almost be a guarantee that you will be blown up. Proto AV can solo tanks, regardless of how many are operating the tank. Small turrets can't do anything at the ranges experienced AV'ers sit at. They find high places a good distance away. Tell me how your gunners will contribute to killing him/her off. Most forge gunners and swarmers aren't spotted until after they unleash their first shot. I think it should take about 3 people with AV equivalent to the level of the tank, regardless of how many people are operating it. Tanks are no longer a challenge, but free WPs because of the amount of AV on the field now as opposed to closed beta (that's where all the crying about HAVs started because nobody was specced into AV, and look where we are now). I can even switch to my free anti-armor starter fit and manage to kill an armor tank because I now someone with better AV will join me. If it's a Gunnlogi or a militia tank, I call in my glass cannon to wipe them off the map before they even know what hit them. Fix tank v tank and tank v AV before we even think about 32v32.
Oh no I totally agree, tanks in their current form can't survive 16v16 very well let alone 32v32. But where tanks should be will end up result in tanks being an iWin button in 16v16 where they would probably be relatively balanced in 32v32.
The biggest issue lies in balancing tanks for pubs and tanks for team based matches. Balance them for team based matches and they will roflstomp in pubs, balance them for pubs and they are essentially disposable in team matches.
32v32 helps even that out a little bit. |

That's really a poor way of acting, and it only hurts the community in the long run.
They aren't any good at being a logi, given how ridiculously expensive high tier equipment is in this game.
All they did really was remove 70-90 shields and give them a bonus that counteracts wearing armor plates or biotics.
In fact, cal logis now are more assault focuses than they were before. Except those who were using it as a shotgun fit... they just got a straight nerf.
And seriously, there is no defined role for logistics.. all you're doing is forcing YOUR idea of logistics on other players.
I'm fine with my cal logi fit, but I still don't believe other players should be penalized for looking at all of the dropsuits, and choosing which worked best for them.. only to have their playstyle completely changed with no recourse to adapt to the changes other than "grind for 2 months and buy aurum suits lulz".
Its easy for you to sit on your high horse cause it wasn't your time being wasted. How would you feel if they took away your gallente bonus and put in say... a 2% armor rep module bonus? Its going to change your playstyle, and i'm sure you wouldn't appreciate being told you don't deserve anything from CCP either. |
